What is your gender
The majority of my target audience was male so I will include more adverts
aimed towards them however still include some adverts for females who were
the other side of my target audience.
Age
The majority of my results were aged in the 17-20 age gap so this will be my
primary audience. The secondary audience will 13-16 and the tertiary will be
25+. This means i will have less job adds and more course help and college
aimed programmes.
Ethnicity
Almost all of my results came back caucasian so I will have less political veiws
on anyway other than places like england and other types of geographical news
based on the north west.
How do you find out about new artists
Most people said they found out about music on spotify or on the internet. This
means that i will include spotify deals on my magazine. Things like 3 months
free when you sign up for a subscription.
Artist News
The majority said they would like to get news on new artists therefore I will
include up and coming artists in the area.
Listen to Any Of These Artists
The clear leader was arctic monkeys. I feel like this is because they are more of
a known band and therefore I will include more photos and news about them
and others like Franz Ferdinand.
What colours do you like
Red and Blue were the leaders of the colours but white and black were close
second. Therefore my colour scheme will be Blue and white. I chose this
because it is a first colour and secondary colour meaning i cover a larger range
of people.
Which of these genres do you listen to?
Indie rock was the leading genre therefore my magazine will be indie rock.
Do you read any of these magazines
People read Kerrang and Q the most so when looking for layout designs and
inspiration I will loom to these too.
What attracted you to buy a magazine
The mai image was the overwhelming winner so to adapt to this i will have to
take a better photo for the front cover than the rest.
How often do you buy a magazine?
I originally wanted to print the magazine once a week but my audience
questionnaire revealed most people buy it once a month so therefore i will
change so i print once a month.
Informal or Formal
The audience questionnaire revealed how most people prefer an informal tone
when writing so therefore I will write in an informal tone.
Worst Parts
The worst parts of a magazine would be that it is too messy and to fix this i will
keep the pages with bigger pictures (This was preferred) and keep the text
down and clean in a good format.
How much would you spend on a magazine
My questionnaire results showed that the majority of people would be happy to
pay £3-£5 so i will have my magazine cost this much.
Name three or more words
The words that came up were not good enough or not appropriate for me to
think of a name so i used some pre existing music jargon to create a title.
Gig frequency
Most people go to gigs at least once a month so I will include gig offers and
ticket prices.
How often do you buy albums
Most people buy albums once a month. This means i can include album offers
and discounts every issue since i release my magazine once a month.
Various offers
Many people who reviewed my survey thought the chance to win gig tickets
and T-shirts was a good idea. Therefore to incorporate this I will include T-shirt
offers and gig tickets to cater for my target audience.
Instrument
Most people who filled in my survey played an instrument so I will Include
things like tips on how to set up different instruments and different shops with
the best deals.
