2. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me what kind of artists they'd like to see in my
music magazine. Half of the respondents said established artists, so this has influenced my decision on what
artists I will include. Due to 6 of the respondents choosing both, I will also include breakthrough artists, however
I will focus on established for my front cover etc.
3. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me what kind of freebies they'd like my music
magazine to offer. 13 of the respondents said festival tickets, so this has influenced my decision on what freebies
I will include. There was also a large number of respondents who chose speakers/headphones, meets and greets
and concert tickets so I will consider having some of these as freebies on my front cover and contents page or
even on the double page spread article.
4. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me what kind of articles they'd like to see in my
music magazine. 15 of the respondents said interviews, so this has influenced my decision on what articles I will
include, this also adheres to the conventions of music magazines. Due to many of the respondents also choosing
reviews and new music information I will consider incorporating this onto my contents page.
5. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me what kind of social media they'd like to see in
my music magazine. 15 of the respondents said Twitter, so this has influenced my decision on what social media I
will include. Due to a few of the respondents also choosing Youtube and Instagram of the respondents choosing
both, I will also include these within my contents page.
6. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me what kind of artists they'd like to see in my
music magazine. The most popular artist was Ed Sheeran, closely followed by Tyler the Creator and The Weeknd
with The 1975 and Lana Del Rey equal to each other. This has influenced my decision on what artists I will
include. I will include a variety of artists due to this response being fairly equally varied.
7. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me what kind of magazine front cover designs
they like the most. The most popular was Empire and Q. This has influenced my decision on what layout and
style I will want my magazine to have in order for it to be successful and appealing.
8. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me what two types of music genres they would
want a music magazine to include. The most popular two were indie/alternative and Hip Hop/RnB in joint
second. This has influenced my decision on what genres of music I want my magazine to include so that it will be
enjoyable for my audience to read.
9. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me what colour scheme would attract them to buy
a magazine the most. The most popular was black, white and red with black, white and gold in second. This has
influenced my decision on what colour scheme I want my magazine to include so that it will be enjoyable for my
audience to look at.
10. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me how much money they would be willing to
spend on my magazine. The most popularwas between £2.50-£3.49. This has influenced my decision on what the
price of my magazine will be and allows me to see how much the audience is willing to pay, so what social class
they may be.
11. For this question I gave my respondents an opportunity to tell me what artists I should include in my magazine.
The result was split exactly half and half so for this reason I will include a variety of artists, however they will be
from similar genres of music that my respondents said they would find interesting.
