side hook-up piping, risers, gas-lift and electrical/instrumentation facilities.
b) Demolish specified section of Old Estuary Flow Station – Offshore Forcados
c) Construction/ Installation, and commissioning of offshore (Subsea) AG and Oil Pipelines:
 New 18” x 5.5 km Oil Pipeline from New Estuary Flow Station to South Bank Flow Station
 New 24” x 4.0 km Associated Gas Pipeline from Estuary Flow Station to North Bank CCP/CPF

PROJECT OUTLINE
This Project involved the use of a Floating Concrete Barge Production and Export Facility at the Ovhor Oil
Field in the Niger delta Off shores. The Facility Consisted of:
a) A Crude oil Processing Flow station (90,000.00 bpd) and
b) A gas processing Plant
While the Fabrication/Construction of the Facility was ongoing at New Orleans, USA, I was in Warri
co-ordinating:
i. The Provision of Support Services to the USA team of Engineers while
ii. Undertaking field preparation activities

PROJECT - C: NGC Compressor Stations Refurbishment Projects
Phase 1: The first phase of the project included the NGC Stations located at Afiesere, Eriemu,
Utorogu, Sapele and Oben Oil Fields.
Phase 2: The second Phase of the project included NGC Stations located at Kokori, Uzere,
Olomoro and Oweh oil Fields.
PROJECT LOCATION: On Land and Swamp in the Niger Delta, Nigeria.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE: The NGC Stations were located near the Shell Flow Stations in the various Fields
for the purpose of receiving associated gas from the flow stations, processing same
and exporting into the NGC Trunk line supplying various end users.
The Compressor Stations were abandoned by NGC for many year but taken over
by Shell for refurbishment (and Upgrade) in order to meet the flare out deadline
set by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
POSITION HELD: Senior Project Engineer / Commissioning Co-ordinator

MAIN CONTRACTOR: Dresser Rand Nig Limited with other sub-contractors (Workforce – 200).
PROJECT TEAM: I had a team of 5 Engineers, 2 Technologists with 3 HSE Supervisors in the supervision of
the Project covering all the Gas Compressor Stations listed above. They were all reporting to me.
PROJECTS OUTLINE
A - STATION REFURBISHMENT WORKS
- Refurbishment of 8 Superior Gas Engines & Compressors in five Compressor Stations
- Refurbishment of all the process units in the five Compressor stations
- Installation & Commissioning of four Caterpillar Power generating units in two of the stations and an
Emergency generator in one station.
- Refurbishment of six Waukesha (250 KVA) generating units in three of the Compressor Stations
B - STATION UPGRADE WORKS
- Replacement of instrument gas system with Instrument air system in all the stations.
- Construction/Installation of closed drain systems in all the Stations.
- Upgrading of the fire & gas / safeguarding system in all the stations
- Design and Construction of an oil trap on the open drain channel to skim out traces of
oil which is pumped to the surge vessels at the nearby flow stations.
C - CIVIL WORKS SUPERVISED
- Excavation, blinding, formwork, reinforcement and casting of foundations for rotating equipment (Instrument air
Compressors, generators, open drains water pumps, recovered oil pumps etc)
- Excavation, blinding, formwork, reinforcement and casting of foundations for static equipment (Water treatment
plants, Overhead water tank support structures, Sundry process Vessels, Closed drain tank etc)
- Building of six rooms block for accommodation of the Sapele NGC station operation crew.

 Coordinated Operation and Maintenance of Eriemu, Oben and Utorogu NGC Gas Compressor Stations for
about two years
 Co-ordinated the activities of all SPDC personnel, vendors and visitors on project sites
 Co-ordinated Interface and Handover activities for Sapele, Utorogu and Oben NGC Stations before being
handed over to the Production (Asset) team:
- Coordinated Project handover documentation and ensured handover criteria are completed on schedules
- Participated in Learning Workshops to ensure knowledge transfer from project to production team

- Construction /Installation and commissioning of Central Gas Processing Facilities (CPF) Offshore at
Odidi-1 comprising One Central Utilities Module (CUM), Two Compression modules (MCM 1&2), One Gas
Conditioning Module (GCM) and One Import Export Module
- Installation and Commissioning of 3 Booster Station Modules (BSM) adjacent to 3 Flow Stations to gather,
compress associated gas and pump same to the above mentioned Central Processing Facilities (CPF)
- Upgrading and Commissioning of the above 4 flow-stations to gather associated gas for processing at
Odidi-1 CPF.
- Construction and Commissioning of gas gathering pipeline network from the booster stations to Odidi-1
CPF – Offshore (Subsea)
- Construction and Commissioning of 24” x 5.5 km gas export pipeline from Odidi-1 CPF to NGC manifold
- Laying and Commissioning of 33 KV Subsea electrical & Fibre optic Cable from Forcados terminal to
Odidi-1 CPF and 11KV Subsea Cables from Odidi -1 CPF to the Booster Stations Modules.
Associated with the above are Bush clearing, Dredging, Land reclamation for Camp development/construction
and inspection activities.

 Created high HSE awareness amongst contractors and workers by ensuring pre-mobilisation inspection of all

PROJECT TEAM: There were sixteen expatriate Engineers and twenty Nigerian Engineers (All Shell
Personnel) whose daily report I coordinated with the assistance of three Technical Assistants in addition to
activities listed below.

 Terminal Process Facilities upgrade comprising:
1 Construction/Installation & Commissioning of 2 dehydration and 2 skim tanks
2 Installation and Commissioning of variety of motor driven pumps; water treatment (IGF & CPI) units;
prover metering unit; GRE & Steel piping network; and 3 Solar Gas Turbines (7 MW each)
 Construction and Commissioning of 3 trains LP & HP gas plant (LP >10 bar & HP > 36-78 bar )
 Construction and Commissioning of 4” x 2.037 km solid 6”x 4.058 km flexible gas pipeline
 Construction and Commissioning of produced water disposal (GRE) pipeline (36” x 5.833 onshore
and 36” x 6.10 km offshore into the Atlantic Ocean)
CIVIL WORKS SUPERVISED
- Excavation, blinding, formwork, reinforcement and casting of foundations for installation of rotating
equipment (Solar gas turbines – 5 of 7 MW, crude oil pumps, produced water disposal pumps, etc)
- Excavation, blinding, formwork, reinforcement and casting of foundations for installation of static equipment
(Fuel gas plant scrubbers, Fuel gas processing vessels, diesel storage tanks (2), Crude oil dehydration tanks - 2
of 100,000 barrels each, skim tanks (2), terminal piping supports, water treatment plant facilities, etc)
- Casting of foundations and erection of Steel Shelters with aluminium roofing sheets and cladding for
Dehydration pumps (6), Crude oil transfer pumps (6), Solar turbines (5), etc.
- Casting of foundations and erection of block buildings: Terminal Control building, Terminal admin building,
Terminal gate Security building, Process area Security building, etc.
- Piling and construction of a new jetty for marine logistic activities
- Piling and construction of 3 km Effluent slot remediation channel
- Fencing of the API Separator and remediation washing slab areas
- Construction of bund wall, with asphalt surfacing, round the two dehydration tanks
- Construction of drains within the terminal – total of about 4km of 1.20 x1.50 x1.20 km3 of drain channel.
- Construction of tarred (asphalt) road network within the terminal – total of about 7km of tarred road network.

Phase 2: The second Phase of the project included NGC Stations located at Kokori, Uzere, Olomoro and Oweh oil Fields. PROJECT LOCATION: On Land and Swamp in the Niger Delta, Nigeria. PROJECT OBJECTIVE: The NGC Stations were located near the Shell Flow Stations in the various Fields for the purpose of receiving associated gas from the flow stations, processing same and exporting into the NGC Trunk line supplying various end users. The Compressor Stations were abandoned by NGC for many year but taken over by Shell for refurbishment (and Upgrade) in order to meet the flare out deadline set by the Federal Government of Nigeria. POSITION HELD: Senior Project Engineer / Commissioning Co-ordinator DATE: July 2002 – May 31, 2008 MAIN CONTRACTOR: Dresser Rand Nig Limited with other sub-contractors (Workforce – 200). PROJECT TEAM: I had a team of 5 Engineers, 2 Technologists with 3 HSE Supervisors in the supervision of the Project covering all the Gas Compressor Stations listed above. They were all reporting to me.

PROJECT OUTLINE  Terminal Process Facilities upgrade comprising: 1 Construction/Installation & Commissioning of 2 dehydration and 2 skim tanks 2 Installation and Commissioning of variety of motor driven pumps; water treatment (IGF & CPI) units; prover metering unit; GRE & Steel piping network; and 3 Solar Gas Turbines (7 MW each)  Construction and Commissioning of 3 trains LP & HP gas plant (LP >10 bar & HP > 36-78 bar )  Construction and Commissioning of 4” x 2.037 km solid 6”x 4.058 km flexible gas pipeline  Construction and Commissioning of produced water disposal (GRE) pipeline (36” x 5.833 onshore and 36” x 6.10 km offshore into the Atlantic Ocean) CIVIL WORKS SUPERVISED - Excavation, blinding, formwork, reinforcement and casting of foundations for installation of rotating equipment (Solar gas turbines – 5 of 7 MW, crude oil pumps, produced water disposal pumps, etc) - Excavation, blinding, formwork, reinforcement and casting of foundations for installation of static equipment (Fuel gas plant scrubbers, Fuel gas processing vessels, diesel storage tanks (2), Crude oil dehydration tanks - 2 of 100,000 barrels each, skim tanks (2), terminal piping supports, water treatment plant facilities, etc) - Casting of foundations and erection of Steel Shelters with aluminium roofing sheets and cladding for Dehydration pumps (6), Crude oil transfer pumps (6), Solar turbines (5), etc. - Casting of foundations and erection of block buildings: Terminal Control building, Terminal admin building, Terminal gate Security building, Process area Security building, etc. - Piling and construction of a new jetty for marine logistic activities - Piling and construction of 3 km Effluent slot remediation channel - Fencing of the API Separator and remediation washing slab areas - Construction of bund wall, with asphalt surfacing, round the two dehydration tanks - Construction of drains within the terminal – total of about 4km of 1.20 x1.50 x1.20 km3 of drain channel. - Construction of tarred (asphalt) road network within the terminal – total of about 7km of tarred road network. JOB HIGHLIGHTS - Supervised ePIC contractor in the implementation of ePIC contract – ePIC contractor had as many as 20 Sub-contractors with total average workforce of about 3,000 - Prepared tender documents on miscellaneous minor projects/ contracts. - Co-ordination of FTIP’s materials reconciliation team. - Compiled FTIP Cost Report as required by Shell International Exploration and Production (SIEP) - Supervised Construction & Installation of pipelines –solid and flexible lines with GRE pipelines (for oil, gas and Produced water). - Supervised the Fencing of the API Separator and remediation washing slab areas. - Supervised the sheet piling of Effluent slot remediation channel & trial zone 1. - Co-ordinated installation, Pre-Commissioning and commissioning of various motors, pumps and equipment - Supervised construction of Community Training Centre. - Supervised the Secretarial & Technical Support staff in the daily administration of the (FTIP) project. - Co-ordinated all project Transport and Logistics Services - about 70 SPDC staff and average of 30 visitors /vendors daily. - Supervised Catering and Estate Management Services – camp had 260 rooms with restaurant serving average of 200 persons per meal (SPDC/ Contractor staff & vendors). - Co-ordinated the handling and maintenance of all Company properties - Project Offices, Office equipment, Vehicles (16 project vehicles) etc. - Co-ordinated all HSE matters in FTIP.
