This document summarizes a workshop on quality research and publication in social sciences. Topic/ Theme of research paper should be of current
relevance, worth writing and must be of useful one.
Output / findings of research paper should be useful to
society and / or serve as a strong base as a solution to
problem.
Creativity and value addition should be present in the
paper.
Writer should have a passion, liking and involvement.
Paper should have a strong methodological approach
Paper should be simple, précise, readable and interesting

Layout of the paper should be meticulously planned.
Information should flow in sequential order.
Necessary linkage should be maintained between the
paragraphs.
Size of the paper should be of reasonable standard.
Minimum care should be taken to eliminate
grammatical errors.

Conclusions should match with the objectives of the
paper.
Guidelines of the journal should be followed.
Abstract of the paper should be the gist/brief
summary of the paper.
References / Bibliography needs to be written as per
the international standards.

19. ESSENTIAL REQUISITS OF GOOD PAPER
 Paper has to be a balanced one.
 Always better to send paper both hard and soft copy
(preferably registered post / Courier).
 Correspondence with the publisher needs to be positive,
polite and encouraging.
 Author should have a reasonable patience.
