4.  Delineates the anterior edge of the trabecular zones and represents
the termination of descent membrane.
 It is a very fine glossy line.

7.  TM is a circular spongework of CT lined by trabeculocytes which
have contractile and phagocytic properties .
 TM is roughly triangular in the cross section,
 The apex is at the Schwalbe’s line
 The base is formed by scleral spurand ciliary body
 TM can be divided in - 1.uveal meshwork
 2.corneoscleral meshwork
 3.Juxtraglomrular cells

9.  The innermost part of TM
 It comprises of trabecular bands , which have central core that
mainly consist of mainly collagenous fiber and is lined by trabecular
endothelial cells resting on a thick basement membrane.
 Trabeculocytes consists pigment granules .
 Poe size 25-75mm

10.  Consist a series of thin , flattened and perforated connective tissue
sheets arrange in a laminar pattern.
 Central core consist of collagenous and elastic CT.
 Pore size – 5-50mm

11.  Also known as cribriform meshwork.
 The outermost part of TM
 Lies adjacent wall of schlemm’s canal.
 It consist of a loose network of fine fibrils,ground substance full of
GAG,S and glycoproteins.
 Space between cells is 10 µm

12.  SC is circular lymphatic like vessels in the eye tht collect aquous
humour from ant. Chamber and delivers it into the episcleral blood
vessels via aquous veins.
 Inner wall : endothelial layer consist of complete monolayer of flat
endothelial cells that do not rest on the basement membrane.
 Cell posseses transcellular microchannels.
Outer layer: endothelial lining is single layered with a complete
basement membrane. No trans cellular microchannels.

17. Approx 25-30 collector channels arises from schlemm’s canal and
drain aquous humour into intra and episcleral venous plexus.

18.  Forms the post margin scleral sulcus.
 The scleral spur receives insertion of longitudual cilliary muscle,
and contraction opens up the trabecular space.
 Individual scleral spur cell is inervated by unmyelinated axons .

