My Evaluation
In myevaluationIwill be explainingmyfull creative media
processwithinmytime completingthe unit,IG2Music
VideoProduction.FirstlyIwill talkaboutthe firsttaskI
completedinthisunit.Andinthistaskwe had to analyse a
total amountof five musicvideostogive ussome brief
ideasthatwe could use whencreatingourmusicvideo.
Afterthisstill intask1 we hadto complete twopurposes
sheetsabouttwoof our chosenmusicvideosoutof the five.
In myopinionIthinkI didwell onthistaskfor I completedit
before the deadline date andIalsosuccessfullyfilledinall the boxesthoroughly,soonthe other
handI thinkI endedupgivinga lotof relevantinformationaboutthe musicartistetc.AlsoI found
thistask veryhelpful because Igota chance to understandhow musicvideosare made bycutting
fadinginand outetc. Fromthistask I thinkI tooksome ideasoff of some of the five musicvideosto
improve mymusicvideoandinthe endI thinkmy musicvideoworked verywell.SecondlyIamgoing
to talkabout the secondtaskI completedwithinmytime studyingmyMusicVideoProductionunit.
Withinmysecondtask I hadto complete these few things, anIdeasGenerationMindMapand a
Mood Board. I didn’t findthese few taskshardtocomplete foritwasmainlyjustme puttingall of
my ideasontothistask so I can successfullycreate the musicvideobylookingbackonthese ideas.I
alsocompletedthistaskbefore the deadlinedate,Iwantedtocomplete thistaskearly tomake sure
I didn’tfall behindonanyworkandby doingthisitgave me a bit more time tocomplete the longer
times.Soinmy opinionImade the rightchoice by completingthistaskearly.
ThirdlyIam goingto talk aboutthe thirdtask I
completedonmyMusic VideoProductionunit.Inmy
opinionIfoundthistaskthe secondhardestone
because Ihad to do somethingIhave neverdone
before.Andthe thingsIhad to complete inthistask
were a KitBudgetSheetanda word documentonthe
jobrolesand responsibilities.Ifoundthistaskquite
hard because itwasfairlyconfusingatfirstto me but
eventuallyIgotthe hang of itand thenI successfullycompletedthe KitBudget. Onthe otherhandI
saw thistaskas kindof a learningcurve andnow I know how to successfullycompleteaKitBudget.
Howeverdespitemybitof confusionImanagedtocomplete thistaskontime so againI thinkI did
make the right choice bycompletingtasktwofairlyearly. FourthlyIamgoingto talkaboutthe
fourthtask I completedonmyMusicVideoProductionunit.Thistaskwasthe biggesttaskonthe
unitbecause we hadto complete all of ourPre-Productionpartssuchasa script,storyboards,
equipmentlistetc.Howeverwe hadtoworkin a teamon thisunitso on the otherhandthisdid
raise my teamworkingskills,soIfoundthistask veryhelpful towardsme aswell asenjoyable.
Despite the goodside of thingsIdidstruggle onsome parts of the Pre-ProductionbecauseIhaven’t
done a lotof Pre-Productioninthe pastdespitemyFilmOpeningTitle Sequence Production. This
task tookthe longestamountof time forthere wasa lotof workto be done,we couldn’tbackdown
fromthisbecause we neededtocomplete thisinordertofilmandeditourmusicvideo.Sowe tried
our verybestto getit done quicklyandthoroughlysowe canget the highestgrade possibleandso
we couldget outand filmoutmusicvideo.FifthlyIamgoingto talk aboutthe shortesttaskon the
unitand inthistask I had to complete aphotodiary,in the photodiaryI hadto talk aboutwhatwe
filmedata specificsetgoingoff of the photoswe tookwhile settingupourcamera equipmentetc. I
foundthistaskfairlyeasyforI was justexplainingwhatwe didata certainsetand whatcamera
equipmentwe used.

LastlyI am goingto talkabout the last taskI completed onmyMusic VideoProductionunit.Inthis
task I hadto use two differenttypesof software andtheywere AdobePremierandAdobe After
Effects.Inmy opinionwhile Iwasworkingonthis taskI gaineda goodunderstandingonhow each
individualpieceof software worked,thatIworkedon.I foundthistaskveryhelpful because Inow
knowhowto use the software efficientlysoIcan get more workdone and make itintoa good
standardMusic Video.AtfirstIdidfindthe software a bitconfusingforI hadn’tusedthisspecific
software ina while;soonthe otherhand ittook a bitof time toget usedto the software andthenI
was able touse it efficientlyasIcould before butasI saidI
have improvedmyskill onthese twotypesof software by
usingitagain.Therefore inmyopinionthistaskwasfairly
difficultwheneditingmymusicvideo.Alsowithinmytime
completingthistaskIhad to write a shortstatementbelow
my rougheditto explainhowIwouldimprovemyMusic
Videoafterwatchingandreviewingmyfirstedit.Bydoing
thisit made me understandthatI needtodo some colour
correctioninorderto make my Music Videolookalotbetter.
HoweverwhenIwasmakingmy footage lookbetteronAfter
Effectsat firstI founditdifficultbecauseIwashaving
difficultieswithcontrollingthe contrastof the video.Onthe
otherhand at the endof thisvideoImanagedtocomplete
the task before mydeadlinesofromthisI can see thatI made near enoughall the rightchoice’sto
getmy unitcompletedontime. Therefore if Iwasto make a anothermusicvideoIwill probablytake
a lot more time shootingall of the shotssoI have an evenbiggervarietyshotstomix intopartsof
the song “ReadAll AboutIt” as an example.If Ihada widerrange of shots I will be able tospeedup
the pace of the videoalotmore soit matchesthe song a lotbetter.Onthe other handif I was to
shoota veryslowpassedmusicvideothe shotswill move verycalmlytomatchthe songto either
make a relaxed,intense sceneetc.Some of the thingsthatwentwell inthe Final Editof my Music
Videothoughwere the lip-syncingonAdobe Premier.IimprovedthismassivelybecauseasI saidon
my evaluationof myMusicVideoRoughEditsome of the lyricswasout of syncwiththe singerandI
saidI wouldimprove thatandas a result…I endedupperfectingeveryaspectof the lyricstomake
my musicvideolookalotbetter.
In myconclusionIdidfindsome aspectsof thisassignmentfairlydifficult,sothisonthe otherhand
wouldhave slowedme downbutinthe endI managedtoget all of my taskscompletedontime soI
can pass the unit.Inall honestyIworkedtothe bestof myabilitytotry and achieve the bestgrade
possible inthe MusicVideoProductionunit.Alsowithinmytime completingthisunitIhada fair
amountof funwithfilming,editing,producingetc.AndItrulybelievethishasraisedmyproduction
skillstothe nextlevel. Toconclude thisif Iwas to tackle anotherunitlike thisIwill know exactly
whatto do if I do anotherunitlike thissuchas the filmingprocess,producingprocessetc.Ithinkif I
was to doanotherprojectit will be atan evenbetterstandardsuchas professionalbecause onwhat
I have learnton the pasttwo unit’swill justcombine andIwill make italot betterdue tomy
experience onworkingonprojectssuchasa Music Videoanda FilmOpeningTitle Sequence. Andif I
was to choose anothervideoprojecttocreate inmynext unitI will probablytryandcreate a Film
Trailerbecause Ireallylike filmproductionandmakingspecificaspectsinsidefilmproduction.
