Theme or focus of image & reasons for choice
The theme of all of my photographs is to promote Manchester in a positive way so I
can influence people into visiting certain places such as the town hall. I think all of my
photographs match this theme and our also able to successfully invite people into
visiting Manchester.
1.
The focus of my first image displayed was of a sheltered arch way which leads
to the Manchester town hall. I thought this will be a good aspect of
Manchester to focus on as it looks like a never ending arch way. Therefore, I
think people might look at this photograph and see Manchester as a route to
a better life, by making this point I think this image will easily attract people or
tourists to come to Manchester.
2.
The focus of my second image is of the memorial poppies just outside of the
Manchester town hall. I feel like this image would have attracted people to
visit Manchester as I chose to focus on such a devoted setting that means a
lot to this city. Therefore, I think when people view this image they will want to
come and pay their respects to the soldiers that lost their lives in WW2 and
also to the families that are still retrospective about the war(s). To conclude,
this I do think this image will easily attract people to come to Manchester.
3.
The focus within my third image I picked out, is of a memorial setting with
poppies laid on the surface of the memorial. I decided to focus on this
particular setting because I think it would have attracted people to
Manchester well as I think they would have once again wanted to look at this
memorial setting that means a lot to this city Manchester. I also believe that
Declan Tyldesley
the people coming to Manchester would have also wanted to pay their
respects to the soldiers of WW2 and the families that might still be
retrospective of the wars.
4.
The main focus on my fourth image was of the Manchester town hall, which in
my opinion is quite a well structured and quite gothic building. I decided to
focus one of my images on the Manchester town hall because it is an
incredibly well known building within the Manchester city region. I think this
particular photo will attract people to come to Manchester because I think I
have nicely shown off the colours of the building as well as some of the
architectural structure. To conclude this, I do think this image would have
attracted people greatly to Manchester as they might want to come and see
a well respected building in Manchester.
5.
The main focus on my fifth and final image of choice was once again of the
memorial poppies. I decided to focus on this once again because in my
proposal form I stated that I wanted to show Manchester as quite a caring
community to the general public and to the soldiers that lost their lives in the
wars. In contrast, I do think this image would have attracted people to come
and visit Manchester because they might want to come and see this caring
setting outside of the town hall.
In my conclusion, of the focus of my images I do think all five of my different focuses
attract people to Manchester for different reasons. Despite the fact I didn’t have a
huge variety of photographs still think that my five landscape images attracted
people to Manchester.
Techniques used
1.
The techniques I used when taking this photograph was Rule of Thirds. I used
Rule of Thirds when taking this photograph because if you place the grid on
my photograph you will be able to clearly see that I have intersected the lines
in four different places. Therefore, making my image fully in focus. Additionally,
as my first image is in full focus I think that people will be more attracted to
view my image as they will be able to see every aspect in high quality detail.
When taking this photograph my Shutter Speed setting was on 1/125 my ISO
number was 800 and my Aperture number was on four. Image number one is
also a long shot so we can see the whole arch way from top to bottom
therefore improving the image.
2.
The techniques I used when taking this photograph was Rule of Thirds and
Depth of Field. I applied Rule of Thirds to this photograph by intersecting on of
the lines on the poppy close to the centre of the image. This improved my
image massively because it made the viewers direct to that poppy instantly.
By intersecting this line, I was also able to apply Depth of Field. As you can see
to the right of the image is out of focus, improving the image once again.
When taking this photograph my Shutter Speed was on 1/400 my ISO number
was on 800 and my Aperture number was on 4. By having such a low Aperture
number, I was able to create Depth of Field in the background of the image,
therefore putting the centre poppy more in focus.
3.
The techniques I used within my third photograph were Depth of Field and
Rule of Thirds. I applied Rule of Thirds to my third photograph by getting a
close up shot of the letters and numbers on the memorial statue to the left of
the image where the lines intersect. By intersecting these lines, I was also able
Declan Tyldesley
to apply Depth of Field. I applied Depth of Field with my setting numbers
which were set to a Shutter Speed of 1/50 a ISO number of 100 and an
Aperture number of 3.5. The main setting out of the three which needs to be
adjusted to create Depth of Field is the Aperture number because the lower
the number the shorter the range of Depth of Field. I think this particular
technique improved my image because it directed the viewer’s eyes directly
to the the memorial statue on the left.
4.
The techniques I applied to my fourth photograph of the Manchester town
hall is Rule of Thirds. I applied Rule of thirds by intersecting the lines in more
than one different place, therefore putting the town hall fully in focus. I feel
like this technique improved my image because when someone comes to
view my image they will be able to see every aspect of the image clearly.
However, I became fairly un-lucky when I noticed a purple colour on the
railings of the town hall and this is called Chromatic Abjuration and it is almost
impossible to remove. When taking this photograph my Shutter Speed setting
was on 1/320 my ISO was on 800 and my Aperture number was on 5. These
settings on my camera at the time improved my image because the image
did not show any digital noise from the ISO number as well as any camera
shake from the Shutter Speed number.
5.
The techniques I applied to my fifth photograph of the memorial poppies
outside of the town hall was Rule of Thirds and Depth of Field. Firstly, I applied
Rule of Thirds to this image by positioning my camera correctly and putting
the main object in to the left side of the image. By doing this I managed to
intersect the grid lines directly onto the poppy on the left. Therefore, this made
the poppy the main focus so when someone comes to view the image their
eyes will straight away direct to the poppy. Additionally, by applying Rule of
Thirds I was also able to apply another technique which is Depth of Field. My
camera settings at the time were on a Shutter Speed of 1/200 my ISO number
was on 400 and my Aperture number was on 5.6. These camera settings
allowed me to apply Depth of Field mainly because of my Aperture number.
This is because the F-stop (Aperture) controls the focus range, and the lower
the number the shorter the range. Therefore, if I was to shorten the Aperture
number more the background of the image would have been more out of
focus.
In conduction, I think the techniques I used within all of my images improved them
massively. Therefore, I do think the techniques I used helped attract people to
Manchester as I showed it as a positive place to visit.
Strengths & suggested improvements
Declan Tyldesley
1.
I think one of the main strengths in my first image is the brightness in which I
had to edit in on Photoshop to make my image look more appealing. As I shot
these images on quite a dull day I had to brighten the image to make it look a
lot more inviting. Furthermore, another strength from my first image I think is the
length because when someone comes to view the image it looks almost
never ending or like an extremely long tunnel. If I was to improve this image or
retake it, I think I would try and shoot from a lower angle to make the arch
way look more dominant.
2.
One of the main strengths within my second image in my opinion it the use of
Depth of Field and as well as the vibrance of the red poppies. I would suggest
these as my main strengths in my image because I think they draw the
viewing audience in more as it symbolises a brutal historical event for most
countries. Another strength I can see within my second image of the memorial
poppies is the saturated effect I applied onto most of the image except the
poppies. I think this improved the image massively because it again contrasts
the dark and bright feeling this image connotes. If I was to re-shoot this
particular shot, I think I would have tried to create a more established central
shot of the poppies so I am able to block out the building I captured in the
background.
3.
In contrast, I think one of the main strengths within my third image was the
Depth of Field technique as well as the Vibrance on the poppies in the
background. I think the Vibrance on the poppies improved the image a lot
because the image starts off quite dark and then gradually gets lighter.
Therefore, I think this image portrays that there is always a good side in the
darkest of places like war. The vibrance of the poppies also dominates the
background of the image because as your eyes move across they are
directed straight to the poppies. Furthermore, if I was to re-shoot this image I
think I would have tried to shoot at a higher Aperture number to create a
longer range of Depth of Field which might have improved my image.
4.
Furthermore, some of the main strengths within my fourth image of the town
hall are the angle of shot and the colour adjustments I had to make. I think,
my camera angle is one of my main strengths as it looks as if you are looking
up at this dominant building sectioned in Manchester. As it is a low angle shot I
think the image portrays that this is a very respected building in Manchester as
it looks extremely dominant. Another strength I mentioned was the colour
adjustment, I think this is one of my strengths because I have one again
brightened the image so the colours of the town hall are exposed so they look
better. In conduction, if I was to re-shoot this image I think I would have
created more of an established image, to show more of the architecture.
5.
Some of the main strengths my fifth image in my opinion are the Depth of Field
usage as well as the saturated feeling I applied using Photoshop. I think the
Depth of Field is on of my main strengths because I think it made the image a
lot more focused so the viewers may be more intrigued due to the focus on
the poppies. I thought the saturated feeling on the image was another one of
my strengths because it once again gave it that dark but also bright feeling
due to the vibrance. The main reason for me doing this was because I wanted
too make it look similar to my second image of the memorial poppies.
However, if I was to back and re-edit this image I think that I would probably
make the reds in the image a bit more vibrant as well as a bit more saturated.
Declan Tyldesley
This is because, when I fully look at the image I see that there are still some
light fades of green which might distract people from the main focus point. I
feel if I would have made this adjustment my image would have looked a bit
better.
Therefore, in conduction I think that my images look good enough to promote
Manchester in a positive way. However, if I would have made all the adjustments to
my five different images I believe they would have looked better.
Editing detail
1.
When I was editing this photograph on Photoshop I made multiple different
image adjustments to improve my image. For example, three main
adjustments that I made to this image were Hue/Saturation, Vibrance and
Brightness and Contrast. When editing this photo, I found it fairly difficult as I
was trying to brighten a very dark and dull image. However, by making
multiple adjustments I was successful. Furthermore, when I was using the
Hue/Saturation image adjustment I decided to adjust the yellows and
oranges quite a lot to make quite an appealing image. As an example, when
I was using the Brightness and Contrast adjustment I decided to brighten the
image quite heavily, however I also made a counter adjustment by sliding the
contrast cursor in the opposite direction to make the image look a lot better.
2.
When I was editing my second image of choice on Photoshop I once again
made multiple image adjustments to create a much better looking image.
Three main adjustments I made on Photoshop to this image was Vibrance,
Curves and Hue/Saturation. I decided to make these three adjustments
because I knew I would be able to saturate the image as well as make the
reds a lot more vibrant to give it a strong inviting feeling. When trying to
saturate most of the image I found it fairly difficult as I captured multiple
different colours that were hard to adjust (saturate). Additionally, I also
decided that I wanted to crop the image, one aspect of the image I decided
to crop was the building in the background. I decided to crop this out as I
thought it would distract my viewers from the main focus on the image.
3.
Additionally, when I was editing my third image in Photoshop I decided that I
wanted to make the image dark as well as bright, so in order achieve this I
made multiple image adjustments. Three main adjustments that I made to this
particular image on Photoshop was Vibrance, Levels and Brightness and
Contrast. I used the vibrance image adjustment because I wanted to make
Declan Tyldesley
the reds stand out a lot more in the background. Therefore, I did make quite a
heavy adjustment on Photoshop to make them stand out more. Furthermore, I
adjusted the Brightness and Contrast to darken the image as well as brighten
it. When attempting this I decided to make multiple counter adjustments to
give my image mixed feelings which overall I wanted to achieve. I also
decided that I wanted to crop my third image. I only decided to make a slight
crop adjustment from the right of the image inwards. I made this adjustment
because I thought the image was not well scaled.
4.
Furthermore, when I was editing my fourth image on Photoshop I used multiple
different image adjustments to expose the colours on the town hall. In my
opinion, I think it looks like the sun is shining directly onto the town hall, despite
the fact we shot on quite a dark and dull day. Therefore, I did find it fairly
difficult to edit this image the way I wanted on Photoshop. Three main
adjustments I made on Photoshop to improve my image was, Brightness and
Contrast, Hue/Saturation, Curves. For example, When I was using the
Hue/Saturation adjustment I clicked on the colour(s) I wanted to adjust and
then moved the slider bars across to see how it affected the image.
Eventually, I came to the decision that I wanted to make the image look
bright and peaceful instead of gothic, this troubled me because they both
promoted Manchester in good ways to different audiences. Another example
of an adjustment I made on Photoshop was Curves. I made this adjustment
because I was able to darken but also brighten the image by creating a S
shape of the layout to give the colours on the image a better contrast.
5.
Lastly, when I was editing my fifth image on Photoshop I applied multiple
image adjustments to make the reds more vibrant as well as saturate the
other colours to gibe it more of a sad and devoted feeling. Three main
adjustments that I made on Photoshop to this image was, Hue/Saturation,
Vibrance and Levels. As an example, when I was using the Levels image
adjustment on Photoshop I moved the centre cursor to the left to darken the
image. However, in counter adjustment I also moved the left cursor to the
right, therefore brightening the image slightly. I think this adjustment would
have affected my image in a good way because it gives my image two
different feelings which might draw the audience in more. In conduction, I
believe all of the image adjustments I made to this image improved it slightly
or massively, when trying to attract people to visit Manchester.
In conclusion, I confidently admit that I found some images fairly difficult to edit due
to weather etc. However, despite these few disadvantages on most of my images I
managed to overcome this disadvantages and turn them into advantages therefore
improving the chances of these five images attracting people to come to
Manchester.

Task 4 Final Images Review Work Sheet Landscape

  • 1. Declan Tyldesley Unit 57: Photography and Photographic Practice Selection of final images & review (P4, M4, D4) Image No: 1.
  • 4. Declan Tyldesley Theme or focus of image & reasons for choice The theme of all of my photographs is to promote Manchester in a positive way so I can influence people into visiting certain places such as the town hall. I think all of my photographs match this theme and our also able to successfully invite people into visiting Manchester. 1. The focus of my first image displayed was of a sheltered arch way which leads to the Manchester town hall. I thought this will be a good aspect of Manchester to focus on as it looks like a never ending arch way. Therefore, I think people might look at this photograph and see Manchester as a route to a better life, by making this point I think this image will easily attract people or tourists to come to Manchester. 2. The focus of my second image is of the memorial poppies just outside of the Manchester town hall. I feel like this image would have attracted people to visit Manchester as I chose to focus on such a devoted setting that means a lot to this city. Therefore, I think when people view this image they will want to come and pay their respects to the soldiers that lost their lives in WW2 and also to the families that are still retrospective about the war(s). To conclude, this I do think this image will easily attract people to come to Manchester. 3. The focus within my third image I picked out, is of a memorial setting with poppies laid on the surface of the memorial. I decided to focus on this particular setting because I think it would have attracted people to Manchester well as I think they would have once again wanted to look at this memorial setting that means a lot to this city Manchester. I also believe that
  • 5. Declan Tyldesley the people coming to Manchester would have also wanted to pay their respects to the soldiers of WW2 and the families that might still be retrospective of the wars. 4. The main focus on my fourth image was of the Manchester town hall, which in my opinion is quite a well structured and quite gothic building. I decided to focus one of my images on the Manchester town hall because it is an incredibly well known building within the Manchester city region. I think this particular photo will attract people to come to Manchester because I think I have nicely shown off the colours of the building as well as some of the architectural structure. To conclude this, I do think this image would have attracted people greatly to Manchester as they might want to come and see a well respected building in Manchester. 5. The main focus on my fifth and final image of choice was once again of the memorial poppies. I decided to focus on this once again because in my proposal form I stated that I wanted to show Manchester as quite a caring community to the general public and to the soldiers that lost their lives in the wars. In contrast, I do think this image would have attracted people to come and visit Manchester because they might want to come and see this caring setting outside of the town hall. In my conclusion, of the focus of my images I do think all five of my different focuses attract people to Manchester for different reasons. Despite the fact I didn’t have a huge variety of photographs still think that my five landscape images attracted people to Manchester. Techniques used 1. The techniques I used when taking this photograph was Rule of Thirds. I used Rule of Thirds when taking this photograph because if you place the grid on my photograph you will be able to clearly see that I have intersected the lines in four different places. Therefore, making my image fully in focus. Additionally, as my first image is in full focus I think that people will be more attracted to view my image as they will be able to see every aspect in high quality detail. When taking this photograph my Shutter Speed setting was on 1/125 my ISO number was 800 and my Aperture number was on four. Image number one is also a long shot so we can see the whole arch way from top to bottom therefore improving the image. 2. The techniques I used when taking this photograph was Rule of Thirds and Depth of Field. I applied Rule of Thirds to this photograph by intersecting on of the lines on the poppy close to the centre of the image. This improved my image massively because it made the viewers direct to that poppy instantly. By intersecting this line, I was also able to apply Depth of Field. As you can see to the right of the image is out of focus, improving the image once again. When taking this photograph my Shutter Speed was on 1/400 my ISO number was on 800 and my Aperture number was on 4. By having such a low Aperture number, I was able to create Depth of Field in the background of the image, therefore putting the centre poppy more in focus. 3. The techniques I used within my third photograph were Depth of Field and Rule of Thirds. I applied Rule of Thirds to my third photograph by getting a close up shot of the letters and numbers on the memorial statue to the left of the image where the lines intersect. By intersecting these lines, I was also able
  • 6. Declan Tyldesley to apply Depth of Field. I applied Depth of Field with my setting numbers which were set to a Shutter Speed of 1/50 a ISO number of 100 and an Aperture number of 3.5. The main setting out of the three which needs to be adjusted to create Depth of Field is the Aperture number because the lower the number the shorter the range of Depth of Field. I think this particular technique improved my image because it directed the viewer’s eyes directly to the the memorial statue on the left. 4. The techniques I applied to my fourth photograph of the Manchester town hall is Rule of Thirds. I applied Rule of thirds by intersecting the lines in more than one different place, therefore putting the town hall fully in focus. I feel like this technique improved my image because when someone comes to view my image they will be able to see every aspect of the image clearly. However, I became fairly un-lucky when I noticed a purple colour on the railings of the town hall and this is called Chromatic Abjuration and it is almost impossible to remove. When taking this photograph my Shutter Speed setting was on 1/320 my ISO was on 800 and my Aperture number was on 5. These settings on my camera at the time improved my image because the image did not show any digital noise from the ISO number as well as any camera shake from the Shutter Speed number. 5. The techniques I applied to my fifth photograph of the memorial poppies outside of the town hall was Rule of Thirds and Depth of Field. Firstly, I applied Rule of Thirds to this image by positioning my camera correctly and putting the main object in to the left side of the image. By doing this I managed to intersect the grid lines directly onto the poppy on the left. Therefore, this made the poppy the main focus so when someone comes to view the image their eyes will straight away direct to the poppy. Additionally, by applying Rule of Thirds I was also able to apply another technique which is Depth of Field. My camera settings at the time were on a Shutter Speed of 1/200 my ISO number was on 400 and my Aperture number was on 5.6. These camera settings allowed me to apply Depth of Field mainly because of my Aperture number. This is because the F-stop (Aperture) controls the focus range, and the lower the number the shorter the range. Therefore, if I was to shorten the Aperture number more the background of the image would have been more out of focus. In conduction, I think the techniques I used within all of my images improved them massively. Therefore, I do think the techniques I used helped attract people to Manchester as I showed it as a positive place to visit. Strengths & suggested improvements
  • 7. Declan Tyldesley 1. I think one of the main strengths in my first image is the brightness in which I had to edit in on Photoshop to make my image look more appealing. As I shot these images on quite a dull day I had to brighten the image to make it look a lot more inviting. Furthermore, another strength from my first image I think is the length because when someone comes to view the image it looks almost never ending or like an extremely long tunnel. If I was to improve this image or retake it, I think I would try and shoot from a lower angle to make the arch way look more dominant. 2. One of the main strengths within my second image in my opinion it the use of Depth of Field and as well as the vibrance of the red poppies. I would suggest these as my main strengths in my image because I think they draw the viewing audience in more as it symbolises a brutal historical event for most countries. Another strength I can see within my second image of the memorial poppies is the saturated effect I applied onto most of the image except the poppies. I think this improved the image massively because it again contrasts the dark and bright feeling this image connotes. If I was to re-shoot this particular shot, I think I would have tried to create a more established central shot of the poppies so I am able to block out the building I captured in the background. 3. In contrast, I think one of the main strengths within my third image was the Depth of Field technique as well as the Vibrance on the poppies in the background. I think the Vibrance on the poppies improved the image a lot because the image starts off quite dark and then gradually gets lighter. Therefore, I think this image portrays that there is always a good side in the darkest of places like war. The vibrance of the poppies also dominates the background of the image because as your eyes move across they are directed straight to the poppies. Furthermore, if I was to re-shoot this image I think I would have tried to shoot at a higher Aperture number to create a longer range of Depth of Field which might have improved my image. 4. Furthermore, some of the main strengths within my fourth image of the town hall are the angle of shot and the colour adjustments I had to make. I think, my camera angle is one of my main strengths as it looks as if you are looking up at this dominant building sectioned in Manchester. As it is a low angle shot I think the image portrays that this is a very respected building in Manchester as it looks extremely dominant. Another strength I mentioned was the colour adjustment, I think this is one of my strengths because I have one again brightened the image so the colours of the town hall are exposed so they look better. In conduction, if I was to re-shoot this image I think I would have created more of an established image, to show more of the architecture. 5. Some of the main strengths my fifth image in my opinion are the Depth of Field usage as well as the saturated feeling I applied using Photoshop. I think the Depth of Field is on of my main strengths because I think it made the image a lot more focused so the viewers may be more intrigued due to the focus on the poppies. I thought the saturated feeling on the image was another one of my strengths because it once again gave it that dark but also bright feeling due to the vibrance. The main reason for me doing this was because I wanted too make it look similar to my second image of the memorial poppies. However, if I was to back and re-edit this image I think that I would probably make the reds in the image a bit more vibrant as well as a bit more saturated.
  • 8. Declan Tyldesley This is because, when I fully look at the image I see that there are still some light fades of green which might distract people from the main focus point. I feel if I would have made this adjustment my image would have looked a bit better. Therefore, in conduction I think that my images look good enough to promote Manchester in a positive way. However, if I would have made all the adjustments to my five different images I believe they would have looked better. Editing detail 1. When I was editing this photograph on Photoshop I made multiple different image adjustments to improve my image. For example, three main adjustments that I made to this image were Hue/Saturation, Vibrance and Brightness and Contrast. When editing this photo, I found it fairly difficult as I was trying to brighten a very dark and dull image. However, by making multiple adjustments I was successful. Furthermore, when I was using the Hue/Saturation image adjustment I decided to adjust the yellows and oranges quite a lot to make quite an appealing image. As an example, when I was using the Brightness and Contrast adjustment I decided to brighten the image quite heavily, however I also made a counter adjustment by sliding the contrast cursor in the opposite direction to make the image look a lot better. 2. When I was editing my second image of choice on Photoshop I once again made multiple image adjustments to create a much better looking image. Three main adjustments I made on Photoshop to this image was Vibrance, Curves and Hue/Saturation. I decided to make these three adjustments because I knew I would be able to saturate the image as well as make the reds a lot more vibrant to give it a strong inviting feeling. When trying to saturate most of the image I found it fairly difficult as I captured multiple different colours that were hard to adjust (saturate). Additionally, I also decided that I wanted to crop the image, one aspect of the image I decided to crop was the building in the background. I decided to crop this out as I thought it would distract my viewers from the main focus on the image. 3. Additionally, when I was editing my third image in Photoshop I decided that I wanted to make the image dark as well as bright, so in order achieve this I made multiple image adjustments. Three main adjustments that I made to this particular image on Photoshop was Vibrance, Levels and Brightness and Contrast. I used the vibrance image adjustment because I wanted to make
  • 9. Declan Tyldesley the reds stand out a lot more in the background. Therefore, I did make quite a heavy adjustment on Photoshop to make them stand out more. Furthermore, I adjusted the Brightness and Contrast to darken the image as well as brighten it. When attempting this I decided to make multiple counter adjustments to give my image mixed feelings which overall I wanted to achieve. I also decided that I wanted to crop my third image. I only decided to make a slight crop adjustment from the right of the image inwards. I made this adjustment because I thought the image was not well scaled. 4. Furthermore, when I was editing my fourth image on Photoshop I used multiple different image adjustments to expose the colours on the town hall. In my opinion, I think it looks like the sun is shining directly onto the town hall, despite the fact we shot on quite a dark and dull day. Therefore, I did find it fairly difficult to edit this image the way I wanted on Photoshop. Three main adjustments I made on Photoshop to improve my image was, Brightness and Contrast, Hue/Saturation, Curves. For example, When I was using the Hue/Saturation adjustment I clicked on the colour(s) I wanted to adjust and then moved the slider bars across to see how it affected the image. Eventually, I came to the decision that I wanted to make the image look bright and peaceful instead of gothic, this troubled me because they both promoted Manchester in good ways to different audiences. Another example of an adjustment I made on Photoshop was Curves. I made this adjustment because I was able to darken but also brighten the image by creating a S shape of the layout to give the colours on the image a better contrast. 5. Lastly, when I was editing my fifth image on Photoshop I applied multiple image adjustments to make the reds more vibrant as well as saturate the other colours to gibe it more of a sad and devoted feeling. Three main adjustments that I made on Photoshop to this image was, Hue/Saturation, Vibrance and Levels. As an example, when I was using the Levels image adjustment on Photoshop I moved the centre cursor to the left to darken the image. However, in counter adjustment I also moved the left cursor to the right, therefore brightening the image slightly. I think this adjustment would have affected my image in a good way because it gives my image two different feelings which might draw the audience in more. In conduction, I believe all of the image adjustments I made to this image improved it slightly or massively, when trying to attract people to visit Manchester. In conclusion, I confidently admit that I found some images fairly difficult to edit due to weather etc. However, despite these few disadvantages on most of my images I managed to overcome this disadvantages and turn them into advantages therefore improving the chances of these five images attracting people to come to Manchester.
