• Peer-reviewed journal articles are those written by experts
and researchers in the field you are studying.
• They are the gold standard for quality, and your instructors
require you to use them.
• You will find them most easily through the library website.
• They are also known as scholarly articles, academic journal
articles, professional journal articles, and refereed articles.

link to find the list of databases.
• Using the letters near the top, choose “O”
• Choose “Ovid Nursing Collection”
• Log in using your student ID and PIN (the
last four digits of your SSN)

• Use the menu on the left to choose your
publication dates. Click on “Years” then
“Past 5 Years.”
• Click on “Article as PDF” to read the article.

• Permalinks allow your classmates and
instructors to link directly to your
article.
• Easiest way to get them in Ovid: email
the article to yourself. The permalink
will appear in your email.
