1. Finding Sample Business

2. Find sample business plans through the
library website! Guaranteed to be of
good quality!
The following slides will show you how.

3. On the library website, click on “Databases” in
the box on the right.
• https://library.daytonastate.edu/

4. Click on “V” in the alphabet, then on “Virtual
Reference Library.”

5. Log in with your borrower ID
(your student ID #) and your
PIN (the last four digits of your
Social Security #).

6. Scroll down slightly to
“Business” and click
on the Business Plans
Handbook

7. Search in the box that
says “Search Series”

8. Search for your
business
Example: day care center

9. If you have a choice,
use the most recent
plan; open as View
Text

10. Use the tools on the
right to email, save,
print, etc.
Remember: this is only a
sample! It will have to be
adjusted to fit your own
proposed business.
