2. Process
I began off by creating the coloured pattern that would make the bottle stand out. I chose the purple
and dark red colours that I got from my audience research and created a swirly pattern using the
brush tool. I experimented with using different patterns, but I felt as though the uneven lines gave off
a more attractive appearance and made it seem less industrial if it were just straight lines. If I hadn’t
already completed the label design, I would have preferred to have the furthers right dark purple
stripe connect to the rest of the stripes near the centre.
The font I chose for 'MistyFizz' took inspiration from Coca-Cola. The calligraphy effect that it has
makes the label recognizable. Using the same font for all pieces of text took and only using it for the
brand name makes the brand name stand out more, as well as not overwhelming the design with too
much scruffy text. The cherry flavour font is clear to read and looks official.
3. Process
I added some small details such as a recyclable warning and some
personification to the label that lots of drinks label use on their
bottles. I included some cherries on the front using a picture I
downloaded from the internet. Using the magic wand tool I cut away
all the background and the watermarks and added it into the design. I
used the custom lasso tool to cut away the remaining parts of the
background that the magic wand missed out and placed it into place.
Using the crop tool once again I cut out a single cherry from the
bunch and added it to the other side to fill in the void that was left. It
duplicated as a whole new layer so I used the merge down tool to put
them on the same layer.
4. Process
I downloaded some free barcodes and nutrition facts from the internet and put them into place to make the
bottle appear more authentic and realistic. I also moved the cherries further into the middle and centred to fill up
even more unused space. Beforehand the label looked wrong and untidy but afterwards these additions really
begin to make the design look more and more realistic.
Extra details that appear on real products like QR Codes that lead to the company's website and small blurbs that
detail the company's beliefs and morals and whatnot that they always ignore were added. A small round up of the
ingredients included in the drink on the top right were added to.
5. Process
I couldn’t continue to have cherries all over a vanilla flavoured variant of
MistyFizz so I had to hide and remove all layers containing something cherry
related and create new ones either changing the words ‘cherry’ to ‘vanilla’
or replacing the cherry PNG to a Vanilla PNG. The background colour had to
go too, so I used the paint bucket tool to swaps the red and purple colours
around to white and crème. All the text that I had placed had to be edited
too. Using the colour overlay tool under the FX tab I changed all the text
layers from white to black, so they were visible on the bright background. I
think that despite the designs being literally the EXACT same thing bar some
different words and a change of colour I feel like the vanilla version of the
label is a lot more attractive than the cherry label proving that brighter
colours to sway a customer.
6. Process
After printing out and adding the labels to my empty coke bottles I disliked how much empty space was
left on the right side of the label, going back into photoshop I decided to 'take inspiration' from the
coke bottle label that I had in front of me and copied the information it had on it that I didn’t add on
the left side. I took a PNG from google for random fat/sugar/salt concentrates and added them in...
these final steps really help to put the whole design together and make it look like a finished product.

7. Process
I introduced the advertisement with a fast-paced montage of the bottle flavours switching
between each-other. I inserted PNGs onto the track at different lengths, so it sped up the
further it went on. I wanted to zoom in gradually overtime but having all the images as
separate clips made it complicated to put the correct keyframes in. To overcome this issue, I
merged them all into one big clip using the 'Make Subsequence' tool which allowed me to
have one keyframe at the beginning and another at the end. I also marked out every time the
background changed and inserted a thud sound effect to make it appear as if a heart is
beating faster.
8. Process
I moved onto the second clip which was footage of my opening the glass bottle with a bottle
opener. First, I had to remove the greenscreen and replace it with a background of my own.
To do this I dragged the 'grand key' tool over my content and, on the 'effects' tab I selected
the eyedrop tool and clicked on the green background. The bottle is transparent so
unfortunately the bottle looked rough around the edges and low quality where the AI had
tried to distinguish what was green and what was light reflection on the bottle. I messed
around with the matte generation, matte clean-up and spill suppression tabs to try and fix
this issue but what you see above is the best I could do.
9. Process
This is the tab that I used to change the position,
speed and audio of my footage. The red circle
includes arrows which jump to and from the key
marks which are set by the small circle. By
setting a key mark at the start of the clip and the
end of the clip and then changing the position
coordinates, scale of rotation at the last key
mark, it gradually changes to the newly set
position, scale or rotation throughout the set key
Marks. I used this many times throughout the editing process using the scale tool in the
introduction, where the bottles swap with each other, I used the rotation tool in the pouring
shot, and I used the position tool to move the pouring shot out of frame and to introduce
the final MistyFizz shot.
10. Process
In this video clip the camera was very shaky due to it being
filmed with my hand and not a tripod. To overcome this issue, I
dragged the 'warp stabilizer' effect over the clip and messed
with the settings to make it right. Setting the result as 'no
motion' made the footage a lot less shaky and more satisfying to
watch.
11. Process
For the penultimate clip I used mostly everything I have spoken about so far. I used the grand
key to remove the background and replace it with a bright blue background, I used the key
marks to slowly zoom in and rotate at the same time. I included in all clips the 'sharpen' effect
which makes the all the clips' colours more vibrant and brighter.
To transition the clips together I added the 'whip' transition, so it
isn't a sudden cut from clip to clip.
12. Process
For the final clip I wanted to have text slowly fade into
the shot. To get this to work I added some text using
the T tool (circled) and used the font editor tool, text
size tool and positioning to get it into the correct
position. I then used the film dissolve effect at the
beginning of the clip for the film to slowly evolve into
shot. I dragged the effect along to change how long it
took for the text to go from invisible to completely
visible and even added a shadow on both the MistyFizz
title and the company slogan just so it stood out a bit
more.
