2. Proposal evaluation
• My proposal was the first document for my FMP, it is where I thought of the idea of my FMP and my entire process from
pre to post production. It has some good points in it that I followed throughout such as the project concept where I stated
what I wanted to create, which to the most part I followed as my final product has both a video and animation as well as
being based around the 118 squadron. Another part of my proposal document was the schedule as it allowed me to stay
on track with work and know where I was supposed to be to be in line with the deadline, this allowed me to stay mostly
on tract to get all required work done.
• Unfortunately my proposal also lacked in some areas such as the detain I wrote is, as most of the information is very
scarce and lacks real detain of what I was wanting to create and how I was going to plan to do so and execute that plan,
another area which lacks in my proposal is the rationale as it lacks detain in what exactly I have learnt and plan to use
those skills in my final product. Another part of this document that isn’t the best is evaluation proposal as once again it
lacks detail on how I was going to evaluate my work.
3. Contextual research evaluation
• For my contextual research I looked at graphic designers as I was planning on making all of the
images myself or editing them so was looking at famous graphic designers to take inspiration from
their style. One major good point in my contextual research is that I analyzed each of the graphic
designers styles and how I could use them to my advantage and In my own work. Another part of
my contextual research that went well was the
• One part of my contextual research that didn’t go so well was the fact I took most of the
information from wiki and other sources instead of researching the people myself and writing
what id learnt.
4. Existing product evaluation
• My existing products document was good as I managed to look at 4
relevant existing websites and say what I liked and disliked about
them; another good point was I added screenshots of said websites
to add context to what I was talking about. One bad part of this
document was I didn’t say or look at how I could use factors from
these existing products to my benefit.
5. Audience research evaluation
• My audience research I did with a survey on SurveyMonkey and asked my peers and friends to answer the
questions, one good aspect of this document is how I analyzed each of the questions responses and how I
tend to cater to that audience within my FMP, another good point is that I added screenshots of the
questions and answers to show context to my responses.
• On major bad part of my audience research is that I only had 5 people respond to my survey so the
responses were not as diverse as I would have wanted as many of the answers were very similar. Another
negative thing about my audience evaluation is that my responses to the survey as they were very
undetailed and bland I could improve this by expanding my responses.
6. Problem-solving evaluation
• In my problem-solving document some points of this document are good are the
mind maps, this is because they say what problems I could encounter and how I
might combat them. I also made lists of tools I may require such as equipment
and software or what sources I will use to write and gather written recourses.
• One negative part of my problem solving document is how little detail was put in
it. I could have added more detail to each page of the document as they lack
detail in how I could negate or lessen the impact of the problems I identified
7. Planning evaluation
• My planning document has many good features such as the planning
for my layout for some pages, this is good as it gave me a brief idea on
how I wanted my design to look like. Another good point about my
planning document is my contingency planning as I have had to resort
to it as the original computer I was working on the hard drive corrupt
meaning I lost all of the work I was working on, fortunately I had
uploaded most of my work so didn’t lose too much but I was set back
a day as I hadn’t uploaded so I lost my production reflection, I
thankfully caught up. One part of my planning that isn’t so good is the
amount of detail on the first few slides.
8. Grade reflection evaluation
• my grade reflection consists of an action plan which helped me know
at which stage what I was going to do and how. A part of my grade
reflection that wasn’t the best was the lack of detail in the first few
slides.
9. FMP evaluation
• My FMP has many good parts such as my picture editing as I managed
to colorize pictures and add them too my project. I really liked how
they turned out as color realistic as I could and I believe they work
really well with the dynamic of my website pages with text and on
their own page with the original pictures.
10. FMP evaluation continued
• My FMP has lots of written work which is all
original. On these pages I used edits of photos
of the squadron some with text over or with the
pictures to create my page designs. I used the
clipping mask tool to create different shapes for
the pictures and add more detail and editing
prowess to my work. One negative point of this
page is that half of the picture of the group is
covered by text and a black fade. Which takes a
lot away from the picture, thankfully the main
part of the picture (the plane) isn’t fully covered
and the main body of the plane isn’t.
11. FMP evaluation continued
• A main part of my FMP was the video of the backing, this adds a
personal touch as it’s the squadron which the website was about. This
also adds more eye catching than a solid block color which doesn't
draw the eye of the viewer and seems uninteresting/bland. Another
good factor of the video background is that it is very relevant to my
site as the footage has members of the 118 squadron (who my
website is about) flying.
• One negative about the video is that it could be more eye catching
than the actual content itself and draw attention away
from the content of the website.
12. FMP evaluation continued
• My animation on my home page had many good factors as it was
mostly seamless movement apart from at the end and the animation
fits into the theme of my website as it contains planes from the
squadron. One negative part of my animation is at the bottom of the
light is really inconsistent and wobbles a lot which takes a lot from the
animation, another negative is the fade out of the text at the end is
really choppy and inconsistent too.
13. Production reflection evaluation
• My production reflection document has some good points as i
managed to keep track of all production work I did and say how I
created some effects and what I used and why. Some negative points
are that as my hard drive crashed on my original computer I lost my
first production reflection and had to rush and start from scratch with
no screenshots of how I made things, this takes away a lot from the
production reflection as I cant show my working and add context to
the writing.
