Salon Operations Manager 2009 – to Present
Lead a team of 2 project managers and 1500 salon leaders to support the operations of
the salon business, which is made up of 1500 locations and delivers over $660 million in
annual revenue. Oversight includes policy and procedure creation, productivity
standards, and profit and loss for salon division. Responsibilities also include supply
contract negotiations for services and supplies for the salon division within a budget of
12 million dollars including capital improvements.
Developednew service offering (Chi) which lead to 12 million dollars in
incremental sales. Was responsible for idea, package creation, product cost
negotiation, and delivery execution in the store.
Negotiated two new supply contracts which resulted in 1.2 million dollars in
incremental marketing dollars and 700 thousand dollars in savings.
Ensure standard operational procedures are in place for consistent execution
across 1500 Salons, through policy creation and updated training.
Launched innovative new bathing systemwhich will lead to increased productivity
and expense savings of 1 million dollars. Identified industry need to improve bathing
delivery system, while reducing overall cost through product efficiency and shipping
costs for supplies.
Salon Project Manager 2007 – 2009
Led a team of 3 Salon Academy and Pet Safety Manager that were responsible for
associate training and development, quality, and associate productivity. Additional
responsibilities include salon layout and design, fixture selection, and supply item
management for the salons.
2. Lead key salon initiative (FURminator) from inception to completion which
resulted in $4.5 million in annual Salon revenue
Oversaw company-wide rollout of HydroSurge bathing system providing a
significant cost reduction through water, labor and supply savings to the company on
an annual basis with an estimated savings of $1.3 million.
Developedannual safety certification exam and company-wide meeting for all
management and salon associates, which resulted in a decrease in pet safety incidents
by 10%.
Interim District Services Manager 2005-2006
Directed, $60 million division (featuring 17 stores, a staff of 28 direct - 28 indirect -
overseeing 500 total employees).
Delivered services sales metrics and ranked #1 in Pet Training and #2 in Grooming
out of 64 districts in sales dollars and penetration.
Improved sales from a negative comp to a sustained, positive 8% comp in
Grooming in less than 4 months. This was done through improving staffing levels,
