4. MY PLAN
• I would display the presentation on my SMART board as well as give the
students handouts
• I would group the students into teams of 4-6
• I would prompt the students to participate in the activities on the board
with their teams, but to write their answers on their own handouts
• I would then ask for a volunteer from each group to come draw what
they have on their paper on the SMART board
5. UNIVERSAL DESIGN SUPPORT
• By displaying the questions on the SMART board, each student is able to
visually see the questions and answers
• Not all students can learn from just listening
• Incorporates the use of color
• Splitting the students into teams assists with team based learning
• Encourages collaboration
• Allows participation in smaller groups instead of whole classroom
• Writing down on individual papers encourages individual work and requires a
tangible document for credit
• Students that are not as vocal as others can still get full credit
• Asking for a volunteer from each team encourages participation with the class
• Allows students to show what they know
