2. MINI WHITEBOARDS - EXPLANATION
• Whiteboards actively involve students in the learning process,
and they are a terrific tool for immediate feedback and
assessment.
• When students complete their work and hold their
whiteboard up, the teacher can quickly determine who is
understanding and who needs help and adjust his/her
instruction accordingly.
5. STRATEGY
• Most teachers find that individual boards cut to a size of 12
inches square work well, but boards can be cut to any size.
• Teacher asks students a concept question – students write their
answer on mini whiteboards rather than having class call out or
put their hands up.
• It’s important to provide think time before asking students to
respond.
• Teachers can see at a glance who understands or has the
correct answer or not when at a teacher signal, every
student holds up their mini white board.
