This document discusses image selections and manipulations for a music album digipak design. Four images were chosen that feature the artist with warm, appealing lighting. Image 1 shows great detail and appears in the music video to tease fans. Image 2 uses high key lighting with a dark background to reflect the song's changing moods. Image 3 has a warm, low key feeling and only shows parts of the image, suggesting an enigma. Image 4 introduces the artist against a wall to build viewer relationship. All images were edited in Photoshop by adjusting exposure, contrast, cropping, and adding effects like vignettes.

I chose this image for my
digipak as it features great
detail and it has a warmer
look that makes the album
look more pleasant and
appealing. This image
features in the music video
as well therefore giving a
teaser of what the audience
can expect in the song and
in the video to accompany it.

This is my favourite image that
I included on the digipak
design as it shows effective
use of lighting: High key
lighting that is used to show
the pictures whilst the
background remains dark and
dim. The image varies from
image 1, however this change
in mood reflects the the artists
song and how the music video
is presented; where there are
times of happiness and times
of despair.

This image is similar to
image 1 as it has a warmer
feeling about it that I
particularly like. The colours
are low key which matches
the sombre. The fact that it
shows only parts of the
image and memories
suggests an enigma code as
the audience want to see
more.

This image shows the
audience who the artist is
and this therefore builds a
relationship with the viewer.
There is effective use of
lighting and mise en scene
as the artist is propped up
against the wall which
identifies him as secluded.

manipulation
All of the images I have selected have been altered. And edited by adjusting the exposure, altering the
contrast and cropping the image so that it’s suitable for the digipak.
Other enhancements have also been made such as adding a vignette and also editing out areas that are
not suitable using Photoshop.
