2. Our group had decided upon using this image of the singer holding up balloons
In the park mainly due to us trying to link the scenes within the song with the actual front cover.
It is a mid long shot to reveal her body image she is portraying and to express the surrounding
That she is placed in. The way she addresses the audience is not straight towards the camera but
Solely focused elsewhere. This is common amongst many indie artists because their music
Is not all about the image but rather their music alone.
3. This was the original photo that we intended on using and in order to achieve the effect
that we desired for we had to change the brightness, contrasting and saturation of the
image. Our idea next was to leave the balloons with their original colour and change the
rest of the image in black and white. This was done by using the magnetic lasso tool around
The image except for the balloons, copied and pasted into a new layer. And then the
Development went on to adjust the black and whiteness of the image. Having the balloons
Unchanged is very symbolic due to it representing the lyrics of the song.
4. The final addition to the album cover
was the font that the bands name
and song name was going to be put in.
the name of the band was placed in
capital letters in bold black font, so that
it is easily read by people and they could
remember the name of the band due to
the simply font.
it is placed at the top to not overshadow
the image that is being used.
the name of the song was then placed
underneath in a more sophistic font. The
singer throughout the video is expressed
in this way so having the font suit her
image we felt it was appropriate to use
this style of writing.
