2. What creative decisions did you have to make
to solve problems and how did this depart from
your original plan?
• We had trouble with our creative decisions
because we had to decide who was going to
say what in the advert. After listening to the
sound effects we departed from our original
plan.
3. Both individually and working with others how
did you work and what challenges did you
face?
• Working with others was better to create an
advert as we exchanged ideas to figure out what
Sound effects and music we we’re going to use.
As an individual we each brought our own ideas
and knowledge towards the advert. We faced
some challenges throughout the making of the
advert as the first time we tried to record as
there was echo in the room we were using. Also
when we had to put the sound recorded we had
trouble using the programme Ivegas as we had
not used it before so it was tricky so get the right
4. 3. What advertising techniques did you use to
hook your intended target audience?
• We used stereotyping because this is a secure
way of knowing who our target audience is
and making sure it is adapted to them. For
example we used creaking noises and screams
to catch the audiences attention. We also
used a girls voice to start the advert as it is
very stereotypical that a girl would scream
and be scared in a horror movie.
5. . How did technology enable the creative
process? Was it difficult to use any of the
equipment and did you learn any skills?
• Technology helped us a lot as if we hadn’t
used it we wouldn’t be able to record anything
and then edit it on our computers. Using
technology makes it much easier as we can
make advert the way we really wanted to
sound like. Special affects like
7. 6. What or who are you representing in your
advert and how?
• In my advert im advertising a horror movie, it
is aimed at young people as it is about a
young girl who enters a haunted
8. 7. What feedback did you get and did this help
you realise anything about your product?
• The feedback I received was quite positive
although it has been said that there is room
for improvement. One of the areas which is
quite good is the atmosphere that is built up.
This denotes common factors within a horror
film. One improvement I could make is
inserting a bed to play throughout the whole
advert.
