THIS ASSIGNMENT TAUGHT ME THE IMPORTANCE OF LEARNING
HOW TO SET GOALS. I HAD ALWAYS BEEN ONE WHO STRUGGLED
TO SET THEM. I WOULD SET HUGE, LONG TIME GOALS WITHOUT
SMALL ONES, SO BY THE TIME I MET A BIG GOAL I FELT LIKE I
HADN’T MADE ANY PROGRESS. HAVING SMALL, REALISTIC
GOALS IS ESSENTIAL TO HAVING BIG, LONG TIME GOALS.

I LEARNED JUST HOW MUCH A COUNSELOR FOR THE
YOUNGER KIDS ENCOUNTERS ON A DAILY BASIS. THEY
COULD HAVE A WHOLE DAY PLANNED AND MANY THINGS
WON’T GO AS THEY HOPED SO THEY HAVE TO ADJUST
QUICKLY AND ACCORDINGLY. I ALSO LEARNED HOW
IMPORTANT HELPING OTHER PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY KIDS, IS
TO ME.

9. GOALS ACHIEVED
If I had accomplished everything I wanted in life, I
would have traveled and experienced all the
world had to offer. I would have picked a good
place to settle down with my husband and maybe
have kids of my own or adopted. I would have
two chow chows and a cat or two. A big house on
the outskirts of a big city as a nice get away
without having to drive hours to get to the city. I

I would be a clinical psychologist working with
other psychologists to help people who are down
on themselves and I would also do a bit of writing
and photography on the side. My family would be
there to encourage me on my endeavors. I would
help those in need and show the world that being
empathetic isn’t all the bad it’s made out to be. I
would be content with who I am and still
