2. Mind Map
Main Ideas
Short Film
Song
Podcast
Not going to take itself
too seriously, more for
entertainment , however
in a production sense it
would be to the best of
my ability.
2-3 minutes long
5+ Minutes long
Inspiration- a
friend made a
short film of their
own and I wanted
to make one too
‘Deeper’
tones, faster
pace
A podcast about
something people
who fit my
demographic are
interested in
5+
minutes
long
Comedy
Would probably
enjoy doing a
rap/rap beat
Target audience would
probably be 14-18 year
old boys who are
belongers and
working/middle class
inspiration, couldn’t
do short film, this
was my back up
Have guests who
enjoy the subject,
can bring up more
natural
conversations
Focused on day to
day stress that most
people from the
target demographic
could relate to
Would need a
quit room, a
microphone, a
camera
(optional)
Would need a
camera, a
microphone, any
necessary props
(don’t know what
kind of props yet)
If I got a group to
do a podcast it
could be a much
more informal
entertaining style
of podcast
Would need a
soundproof room and a
microphone
3. Song
What theme
will the song
be?
Will I be
adding lyrics
this time?
Probably, however
they may be a little
bit rough since I am
trying to do a rap
song/beat.
It will probably have
an angrier theme to
it since that is quite
popular in modern
rap.
Album cover
Will give off the
vibe of the song
without being
obnoxiously
obvious
Stick to a simple
colour scheme like
red black and white
Music Video
Still unsure whether
ill do this or not
CD Cover
Keep up a similar style to the
album cover but don’t copy
too much from it, it needs to
be obvious they're related but
sill look different
If I did a music video, I would
have to decide whether id be
doing it alone, the style I’d go
wit, the lighting, the scene and
how I would edit it all together
Will need a computer, a
keyboard, a mouse photoshop,
premier pro and will be using
bandlabs to produce my song

5. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
I have repeated use of the more scratchy drawing style because I feel it
suits the song I want to make visually, I would like it to be more
negative in tones and the scratchy drawing style visualises that very
well.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
I will be taking inspiration from some of the songs related to said
album covers as I feel they could fit pretty well with what I want to
produce.
6. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept An original song of the rap genre, I will be making an album cover for it and I was
inspired by artists like, Shady Moon, Good Kids, Wett Brain and Lil Darkie
(I am aware these are all very different artists)
Type of
products you
would make
• Album Cover
• CD cover
• Song
• Music Video
What you will
need to make
them
Camera
Computer
Photoshop
Premier pro
Audience 15+, Male, Belonger, Working/Middle/Lower middle class
7. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
Podcast • Didn't have the creative output I wanted,
I had plenty of ideas but didn’t like them
enough
Short film • Decided I could probably do better doing
a song as I enjoy it more and am better
at it
