Initial Reaction
• I need to make a video game animation which is made with pixel art and
has to be 2d, unfortunately not 3d also to make sound effects and music
of some sort which would be better with the kind of music made in
beepbox otherwise it just wouldn’t feel right, the main bits I was good at
in the experiments were the sound effects and the music and to some
degree the animation however I can definitely improve on it, my general
opinion is that I wanted to do something massive but I won’t really be able
to as seen as it would just take way to long to genuinely create some art
that moves coherently and smoothly which would mean I would have to
do draw something slightly different from the original artwork from each
frame to show movement of the character and the wind and everything
going on around the character however that is the sort of thing I would
like to be able to do for the project and on the side I would probably try to
do the artwork for that sort of thing but it depends whether I get it done
in time and also if not I could probably use some of it in my FMP or go into
the second year with some of it.

Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• There should be as I only used pictures from around about 8 different games
all of which I have played and had some great art and from the fandoms there
was some great art as well. Well the main style of colour used was dark
colours as it sets the scenes as it is supposed to be set around the medieval
ages and so it sets the tone, there are only 3 pictures that go against this and
that would be the sleeping dogs poster, assassins creed poster and the god of
war poster all of which are posters and don’t really have to fit in with the
others, I don’t like any of the fonts used and none of them are repetitive and
the tone and mood are of darkness brooding planning war and assassination.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
Well it has given me a general outline for what kind of tone and mood I was going
to go for and it has also given a wide variety of colours for a colour pallet and
that’s all I can really take unless I take one of the characters and copy it into a 2d
setting and make it pixelated which might work and I might do that in the end.
