Double Exposure Editing Tutorial
1. Editing updates – Double Exposure
Step1 – Selectabase image inwhichwillcontainthe subject.Forthis,we animage of Katthatwe got
from a prior photoshoot that we had. We had to use an image from the photoshoot than one from
the videoaswe needed asolidbackgroundsothatitwouldbe easiertotake itoutof the image when
doing the double exposure. This is the image that we decided to use.
Step2 – We tookoutthe backgroundsothat the effectof doubleexposure onlygoesontothe subject
and not the background. This gave us this effect (see below).
Step3 – We have to unsaturatedthe image whichcan be done with the shortcut of CNTRL + U. This
makes it easier for the double exposure to occur. After cropping and getting the image that we
wanted, this is the effect that we got.
2. Step4 – Make the layera mask and put the secondimage behindthe image above.Thiswill give the
effect that the main image is the shape of the secondary image. To refine the details, get the paint
brushand make itblacksothat the detailsof the mainimage.We thencame outwiththe finalimage.
