2. • In the title sequence of Enemy of the state the titles appear at the same time and speed of the music.
At the beginning of the title sequence and towards the end we hear that the music is played fast and
speedily like there is an emergency, the titles also appear as fast as the music. In the middle of the title
sequence the music seems to slow down slightly, as the music slows down so does how and when the
titles appear. This time more than one title appears on screen. Each title appears when the images
change.

3. • In the title sequence of Casino Royale the titles are accompanied by animated images of men
holding guns, martial arts and artificial images, particularly of spider solitaire. The music
played in the background is soft rock music played slowly. The titles appear at the same pace
as the music. Whenever we see a cartoon man or a gun is when we see that the titles appear.
The titles either appear one, tow or three at a time.

4. • In the title sequence of Se7en the titles appear in a flashy and scratchy way in which relates to the
genre and the atmosphere the music brings. The music sounds scratchy and high pitch which creates a
mood of torture and how the titles appear along with that makes us uncomfortable. After each image
appears, there is often a black screen shown after it which is when the titles appear, particularly in the
middle of the title sequence. At the beginning and towards the end of the title sequence the titles
appear along with images. Some of the tittle have a wide space in between them.

5. WHAT ARE THE COMMON TRAITS CONVENTIONS USED IN TITLING?
• From all title sequences studied the most common traits used in
titling is the pace of when they appear. The pace is depends on
the soundtrack of the opening sequence, if it is fast or slow the
titles appear in that same pace.
