12. Academic History
• At gcse level subjects that I took that would help prepare me
for my course are;
• Media studies grade 6
• Geography grade 6
• These subjects helped me in essay writing as in how to
structure an essay as well as the content within them, media
studies in specifics gave me a focused idea on what makes up
a compelling piece of print or audio/visual media content.
• At college I am studying creative media production level 3
which allowed me to learn the production techniques and
programmes ie photoshop
13. Current Study
• In college I’ve made; a music video, a soundscape, a magazine
( front cover and double page spread) and an animation in the
style of a video game
• In terms of skills overall I learnt how to use the adobe
programmes ie Photoshop and premiere pro and I’ve learnt
how to correctly use a cannon 600 camera
• This made me want to progress further as seeing a work in
progress piece become a completed piece extremely
satisfying and rewarding
14. The Future
• In the future I want to attend a university course based
around media, in particular the creation of media products
and hopefully end up working for a production company in a
creative role
15. Outside College
• Outside of college I don’t do much in the way
of work and was going to start making
applications in summer but COVID has put a
halt on that. In term of hobbies I mostly focus
on gaming but like to garden and tend to
plants. Those hobbies make me a better
candidate for university as they show that I
am focused and dedicated which I could easily
transfer onto university study.
16. Conclusion
• I want to go to university as it sounds like an
important part of education as well as an
important character experience. It will help
me achieve an ideal employment within the
media industry. I’m a good candidate due to
my commitment towards my education aswell
as studies.
17. Introduction
• I’m applying for a course in the media sector. I
want to go to university as it seems like the
next logical step in my education.
