TEVTA was formed in 1999 through an ordinance to enhance global competitiveness in Punjab through a quality and productive workforce. Its objectives include promoting demand-driven technical education and vocational training, upgrading teaching standards, and establishing relationships with the private sector. TEVTA provides numerous degree and diploma programs and works to improve technical education quality to international standards. BISEs in Punjab administer exams and maintain education standards throughout the province on behalf of the Punjab Board of Education. The Punjab Textbook Board aims to provide innovative, stimulating textbooks to build the nation and motivate teachers through various publications and resources.

2. Full Form of TEVTA:
Technical Education and Vocational Training Authorty
Formation:
TEVTA was formed through an ordinance of 1999 promulgated by Governer of Punjab
which has now been replaced by TEVTA ACT (Act X of 2010)
Mission Statement :
To Enhance global competitiveness in Punjab , through a quility and productive
workforce by developing demand drives, standrized dynamic and integreted technical
education and vocational training service
3. Objectives Of TEVTA
• Promote and provide demand driven technical education and vocational training
• Re engineer and consolidate the existing technical education and vocational
training system under one management structure
• Upgrade teaching abilities , skills and knowledge of teaching staff
• Upgrade teaching equipments to the required standrads
• Regulate and recognized curriculum examination and certification system
• Establish close relationship with various sectors of economy namely agriculture
, industry , service and commerce .
• Enhance the particiption of private sectors in training activities at management
level
• Establish a system of public coordination through board of management at
district level, coordinating all institutions in the district and their administration.
• Set Up regular monitoring / Evaluation and feedback system for the vocational
training
• Prepare Training plans, programes and projects keeping in view the local as well
as foreign manpower training requirement.
4. • Study and propose changes in the existing training legislation.
• Organize and conduct Seminar and workship for various types of personnel
associated with vocational training and technical education
• Establish data banks and for skilled workers and technicians.
5. Functions of TEVTA
For Developing of a demand driven , standrized , dynamic and integrated technical education and
vocational training system , In TEVTA the authority shall perform the following functions
• Preparation of Necessary policy guideline for supervision,coordination, working and smooth
functioning of the institution.
• Acquiring developing and administrating the institutions.
• The authority shall be empowered to grant consultation upto Rs 1 million by following their
prescribed procedure. Beyond that the procedure notified by the P&D for selection of consultants
shall be followed;
• Implementation of the projects / schemes in accordance with procedure as many be prescribed by
the authority
• Approval of procurement and installation of equipments for the institution
• Arranging for the training of the teaching and other staff of TEVTA / Institution
• Interacting with the industry and other potential employers local and foreign
• Negotiating for funds for the authority
• Holding of examination and awarding of Diplomas/ Certificates
• Research and development
• Human resource Development & Management .
6. Courses
TEVTA is providing numbers of different degrees in different discipline like degree
of B.Tech ,Hons of B.Tech, Diplomas of technical education , Masters degree related
to Education of Commerce , vocational diplomas and many others
But the most important Moto behind all this hardwork to improve the technical
education is to bring the work to the quility that is acceptable in the global market
because then only the country can come out of the current financial
7. Topic # 2 BISE Of Punjab
BISE :
Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education are responsible to administer
Schools and Colleges offering primary and secondary Education in Pakistan. Every
BISE also administer the exams for Such classes , Every province has boards in
major district .
BISE In Punjab:
Punjab board of intermediate and secondary Education administers all education
boards in Punjab . Its head office is situated in Lahore . The board is responsible to
maintain the same standards of evaluation and transparency in exams throughout the
Punjab.
8. BISE In Punjab
Punjab has 10 BISE intermediate and Secondary Education
, Including Bahawalpur, DG Khan , Faisalabad , federal Gujranwala ,
lahore,Multan, Rawalpindi , Sahiwal , Sargodha . All BISE work independently ,and
conduct the examination ,the examination system is similar . However every Board
has different papers and few have different Syllabus
9. The Main Functions Of BISE Are As UNDER
To hold and conduct examinations pertaining to intermediate Education ,
Secondary Education , Pakistan and classic languages and such other examination
as determined by the Government
1. To record , refuse or withdraw recognition to the Educational institutions
2. To laydown conditions for appointments ,to various examination held by Board
3. To grant certificates and diplommas to the successfull candidates
4. To fix , demand and receive fee as may be prescribed by ;
5. To award scholarship, medals , and prizes to position holders
6. To organise and promote extra moral activities
7. To create posts and appont such staff as may be considered necessary for the
purpose of its function
10. Responsibilities Of BISE
Public Education is Universally Available , School Curricula, Funding , Teaching ,
employment and other policies are set through locally by Schools Boards in
compliance with overall provincial and federal policies
Every Provincial Government take care of standards at intermediate and secondary
education level in the region by help of BISE at district level
Hence Every board is responsible to offer a transparent exams system .
Each BISE in any province is controlled by the single provincial board of Education
11. Punjab Text Book BOARD
Overview:
It was founded in 1962 by a committee that was headed by General Nasir
Ali Khan through West Pakistan Textbook Ordinance XLI . It was the result of
recommendation made by National Education Commission made by the Government of
Pakistan .
Aim Of Punjab Text Book Board:
. The aim of Punjab Text Book BOARD is to build the
nation by providing quality textbooks that are written an assembled keeping in mind the
element of innovation .
• The books are designed so that student get stimulated to seek solution to challenges of
life .
• It also aims to motivate teachers to teach passionately
12. FUNCTIONS:
The BOARD is currently performing a lot of Functions;
Its core purpose is to serv the people by following the Government Policies
It produce publication for primary , secondary and intermediate education and
Teachers's training courses
It also produce Reference , books, guides , Educational journals , maps,
charts,Educational periodicals etc,
It conduct Exhibition of Textbooks and Teaching material
It also maintain a library and resource material
