2. In order to gain feedback from our target audience we
felt the most effective way to obtain our feedback would
be a questionnaire. Getting feedback from our audience
we would be able to gauge whether we created an
effective and professional product. We decided to get our
feedback off teenagers ages 15-18. We also wanted to
work out what aspects of the film we used in our trailer
were good and which were not and if so what we could
about it.
3. We felt the best way for us to gather the
audience feedback was by showing our audience
the trailer and then giving them a questionnaire
on their thoughts about the trailer. In order to
do this our class held a film night where both 6th
form media classes would come as well as
anyone else who wanted to, we advertised this
night by posting our film poster around school
telling them when and where it is. However, on
the night as we’ve gone to play our trailer there
was technical faults causing our trailer to not be
played so sadly we could not get our feedback
this way. Instead we asked if our trailer could be
shown to the classes during a media lesson and
have our questionnaires filled in afterwards as in
those classes was our target audience.
4. Results
Overall how did you rate the film? Overall from our feedback it would seem
audience
that our audience felt the trailer was
successful as 8/20 said excellent, 6/20 said
good, 5/20 said ok and 1/20 said poor but
no one said terrible.
Excellent Good Ok Poor Terrible
5. What aspect (s) did you enjoy?
From our feedback the 2 main things which seemed to be popular was
the enigma that was created at the end as many were intrigued as to
what actually happened whether she killed someone or not and who.
The other feature that was successful was our use of the black screens
used to help describe the narrative, many of them said it was a clever
way of creating the narrative giving them a good idea of what’s going
on but also the use of rhetorical questions within them made them
think more about the film creating interest
6. What aspect (s) did you not enjoy?
The one aspect of the film which the majority of our audience didn’t
feel was professional was the music, they all said they felt the music
was excellent and was perfect for the trailer but the volume of it was
too loud and often overpowered the dialogue.
