Question 3
1. 4) How do you use media technologies in the
construction and research, planning and
evaluation stages in your coursework?
By Zac Miller
2. Through the course of our trailer we have learned
a lot by our self’s. We have also learned a lot from
our audience feedback. Before filming we first
conducted a questionnaire that we asked our
fellow classmates. Using our classmates gave us
sensible people to ask as they are doing the same
thing so they knew how important it was to take it
seriously. This enabled us to get answers that were
accurate. When looking at our results we took
strong influence with the most popular choice. This
was due to the people being in our class knowing
what our trailer was about so we really did value
their opinion on what they did and didn’t like.
3. To gain further information we also conducted
and videoed a interview with more open
ended questions this enabled us to get a wider
variation of answers as people could answer
differently from just yes and no. This gave us a
better idea of what to include in our trailer.
4. In terms of a turning point in our trailer, we found
that people preferred to see it at the beginning of
the trailer. This gave us more room for our
montage, which in my opinion was the most
visually pleasing part of our trailer.
5. Shorty after finishing our first draft of our trailers,
the whole class hosted a showcase. This was
where friends and pupils came in and watched
our trailers for the very first time. With this we also
produced another mini questionnaire which
people filled in, highlighting different areas which
we could improve our work on ready for the up
and coming deadline. This helped me learn that
someone else’s opinion is always good as a fresh
pair of eyes on the trailer can help as they may
see things that you may not have noticed.
