Lynee Segall , most known for Billboard , has a huge
influence and presence within this particular market. With
more than around 17,000 copies in circulation currently
at a weekly output s well as over 15 million people
viewing their publications yearly, they have a significant
prominent presence in this market. This is one reason
why I think this would be an appropriate and beneficial
for my magazine to be published by them in order to
gain a high volume of copies released. Therefore Lynne
Segall would be able to access a genre of music they
perhaps yet have not entirely exploited and therefore
would also create a unique point of sales for them
allowing them to potentially become the market leader
for sold music magazines as they aren’t so readily on the
are as for example pop magazines. Their usual target
audience demographic also suit well and is similar to
mine so therefore would have the capability in order to
successfully do this.
3. Bauer Media Group
Bauer media group is Europe's largest privately owned publishing group with an
empire on a global scale featuring products such as print , TV and radio stations.
Q and Kerrang magazines are distributed by Bauer Media and feature similar
target audiences as my o0own , young adult of both male and female. The
experience and gravitas of Bauer Media Group make It a giant in the industry
with massive capabilities with regards to publishing. They would therefore be
very beneficial because of this and also they currently do not feature a magazine
of my genre which leaves them a gap in their portfolio which my product could
potentially fill.
4. Time Inc
Time Inc. is n American publishing company with over 0 magazines
currently being published by them including the likes of the highly
successful magazine NM. The fact that Time Inc. publishes NME
shows their ability to target audiences of young adults, which is the
same as my target audience. This means that Time INC. has the ability
to publish my, magazine as they already have experience and
existing knowledge of my target audience ad this could prove to
improve the success of my magazines publication and as many
people know of Time Inc. and its reputation of being professional and
successful , this would help capture a larger consumer base.
Furthermore , Time Inc. doesn't yet publish a magazine of my genre
so my magazine would be able to fit in without competing within
existing magazines of that genre and potentially cannibalise the sales
of Time Inc.
