The Islamic Golden age provided the Abbasid Caliphate with an immense amount of political power
and influence. The empire controlled lands from West Africa to parts of current day Iran and the new
capital, Baghdad, quickly developed to into a large and advanced city . With control over previous
Greek, Egyptian, and Persian lands, the locality of the empire set base for the academic, philosophical
and medicinal advancement that define the Islamic Golden Age. Several schools of thought began
setting up in Baghdad, such as Gundishapur which brought Greek medicine, science, and philosophy
to the Islamic culture. Schools like these helped Islamic scholars to learn from these texts in order to
build their own thoughts and treatises. The pursuit for academic advancement in fields of philosophy,
technology, and medicine defines the Golden Age of Islam at it allowed a proliferation of scholars
from different regions to study under one empire and one language. The size and stability of the
Caliphate of the time proves their political and economic power, however the success of the society
would not have amounted to its potential if it were not for the academic advances that flourished
throughout this time period. The translation of Hellenic philosophers provided the stepping stone for

we had used previously. I hope to get a lot higher of a score then I did. The worksheets I have used
have come from grammar websites where I was learning the rules. I said I would like to work on five
different grammar sheets. Within this semester I have been improving in grammar. I got an app that
quizzes me on grammar usage; I also have done a few worksheets, though I do think the app is better.
I think I have stayed the same for the grammar category in my writing assignments. I do feel as if I
understand the rules better but I do not think I have shown improvement.

by the organism s mental and physical environment. Psychology takes into consideration one s
sensation and perception; consciousness; learning; memory; thinking, reasoning and language; and
emotions and motivation. In an effort to fully understand these complex ideas, I experimented with
visual and auditory impairment.
I stimulated my visual impairment by tying a blind fold over my eyes in a relatively comfortable place
and making sure minimal light got through. For the first half hour, I wondered around the house to get
comfortable with my vision impairment. I went from the first floor of my house to the fourth floor on
my own with no external help. On my way back up, I was given challenges to find certain things and
to bring them to a certain area. As I did these tasks, I sensed that someone was close to me or in my
social or intemet proximity; when anything happened, I was susceptible to the little noises I heard, and
reacted immediately. This was orienting response.
As I was walking back up to the first floor, I had to relearn some of my visual strategies to adapt with
my current situation. For example, one challenge was to find a specific type of body cream. I
completed the challenge based on the feel of the bottle. This was almost recalling my latent learning.

explores the theme of revenge on most of the characters. These plays contain a strong sense of

The Department of Health in England (DH 2001) defined learning disability as: a significantly

One of the critical core components of Skilled Nursing Facility is medication administration. As cited

homes are aged 65 years old and older. They discussed that every five of administered medications in
nursing home has one probability of error. This means that about half of the residents have the

The PCC is a Skilled Nursing Facility and is licensed for 99 beds. It provides specialized care services
ranging from short term, long term, and hospice care. The residents come from different racial
