- Every animal has a
habitat.
- The place where an
animal or plant lives
and grows is called its
habitat.
- A habitat is where an
animal finds the food,
water, and shelter it
needs to live.
Concept Formation
Form four (4) groups. Each group will
perform specific activity. Each group will
receive picture of animals in different habitat.
Write your observations using certain format.
Be ready to report your observation to class.

What animals live in the pond?
The pond ecosystem supports quite a
number of animals which include fish,
snakes, frogs, spiders, fresh water
mussel, tadpoles and even mosquitoes.

What animals live in the forest?
The kind of animals that live in the forest
are wild and free. Bears, deer, moose,
raccoons, and insects are found in the
forest.

What animals live in the sea?
All sorts of marine life, from fish, whales
and krill to sharks, rays, corals,
seahorses, octopuses, crabs, seals,
penguins, dolphins, porpoises, crayfish,
etc.

What animals live in the desert?
Some of the kinds of animals that live in
the desert are armadillos, coyotes,
jackrabbits, and cougars. Other critters
include snakes, scorpions, and spiders.
Also lions, vultures, zebras, dung beetles,
iguanas, camels, scorpions, sand cats and
antelopes.

2nd qtr 1 animals live in a particular habitat

  • 2. Identify the animals you see in the pictures. Would you like to find out why they live in these particular environment? Motivation
  • 3. Watch the Habitat Instructional Video Presentation
  • 4. - Every animal has a habitat. - The place where an animal or plant lives and grows is called its habitat. - A habitat is where an animal finds the food, water, and shelter it needs to live. Concept Formation
  • 5. Form four (4) groups. Each group will perform specific activity. Each group will receive picture of animals in different habitat. Write your observations using certain format. Be ready to report your observation to class. Activity
  • 6. Follow the format below in writing their observations. Application Animal Food Eaten Source of Food Habitat Monkey Fruits Plants Forest
  • 7. Group I - Identify animals that live in pond and the food they eat. Activity
  • 8. Group II - Identify animals that live in forest and the food they eat. Activity
  • 9. Group III - Identify the animals that live in the sea and the food they eat. Activity
  • 10. Group IV - Identify animals that live in the desert and the food they eat. Activity
  • 11. 1. What animals live in the pond? Forest? Sea? Dessert? 2. Why do animals live in a particular habitat? Discussion/Analysis
  • 12. What animals live in the pond? The pond ecosystem supports quite a number of animals which include fish, snakes, frogs, spiders, fresh water mussel, tadpoles and even mosquitoes. Discussion/Analysis
  • 13. What animals live in the forest? The kind of animals that live in the forest are wild and free. Bears, deer, moose, raccoons, and insects are found in the forest. Discussion/Analysis
  • 14. What animals live in the sea? All sorts of marine life, from fish, whales and krill to sharks, rays, corals, seahorses, octopuses, crabs, seals, penguins, dolphins, porpoises, crayfish, etc. Discussion/Analysis
  • 15. What animals live in the desert? Some of the kinds of animals that live in the desert are armadillos, coyotes, jackrabbits, and cougars. Other critters include snakes, scorpions, and spiders. Also lions, vultures, zebras, dung beetles, iguanas, camels, scorpions, sand cats and antelopes. Discussion/Analysis

  • 17. Fish live in water. Why can it live in the water? What food does it eat? What would happen to the fish if taken out of water? Application
