Gender- 
Male- 5/20 =25% 
Female- 15-20 = 75% 
I surveyed 20 people and out of these people it was females 
who were surveyed the most. The age range was from 1-27 but 
most people who I surveyed were 16-21. 14 people who I asked 
had ticked 16-21; 4-ticked 10-15 and the other 2 were from 22- 
27. The genre most popular was Pop with 10 votes. The other 
top genre was indie and R&B. This shows my target audience is 
going to be between 16-21 with pop music. 
I asked my target audience how many magazines they buy a 
week and the most popular was 1-2 magazines per week. I also 
asked them how often they buy music magazines and most 
either said monthly or sometimes which means to interest my 
target audience it would have to be published monthly. 
Peoples preferred artists ranged from indie rock and pop. This 
will help me to see what kind of music my target audience 
enjoys. 
I asked how much people would prefer to read in an article and 
most people said more than 500 or 500 words. This will help 
me to get an insight to how much I should write in my article 
because I don’t want to bore my reader but I want to keep them 
intrigued and interested in my magazine. I want them to buy it. 
The most popular music magazine people said they read is NME 
and Billboard so mine would have to be similar for my target 
audience to be interested in my magazine.

My reader profile

  • 1. Gender- Male- 5/20 =25% Female- 15-20 = 75% I surveyed 20 people and out of these people it was females who were surveyed the most. The age range was from 1-27 but most people who I surveyed were 16-21. 14 people who I asked had ticked 16-21; 4-ticked 10-15 and the other 2 were from 22- 27. The genre most popular was Pop with 10 votes. The other top genre was indie and R&B. This shows my target audience is going to be between 16-21 with pop music. I asked my target audience how many magazines they buy a week and the most popular was 1-2 magazines per week. I also asked them how often they buy music magazines and most either said monthly or sometimes which means to interest my target audience it would have to be published monthly. Peoples preferred artists ranged from indie rock and pop. This will help me to see what kind of music my target audience enjoys. I asked how much people would prefer to read in an article and most people said more than 500 or 500 words. This will help me to get an insight to how much I should write in my article because I don’t want to bore my reader but I want to keep them intrigued and interested in my magazine. I want them to buy it. The most popular music magazine people said they read is NME and Billboard so mine would have to be similar for my target audience to be interested in my magazine.
