The gender of the people who took my questionnaire
are as follows, however this will not make a big
difference to my magazine. As you find most music
magazines do not target one specific gender.

From my results, I can see that people aged from 16-20 years
old took my questionnaire, which is good because I am apart of
that age bracket so I would know what would be appealing to
that specific age group. So my target audience would be 16-
20years old.

When asking about the preferred music genre “Pop” was a popular
choice. So I came to the conclusion that I would base my music
magazine on Pop music as that was the preferred music genre when
doing my research .

should do an issue and since the majority of my responses
said monthly I would most likely do a monthly magazine
instead of weekly.

A popular price from my respondents was £3.00 suggesting that this was the
amount many people are willing to pay for a music magazine, which made me
come to the conclusion that the price of my magazine is going to be £3.00 as
anything more expensive would not appeal to my audience especially as the age
is 16-20 years old so their income wouldn't be that high.

The majority of my audience claimed that cover lines appealed to
them when choosing a magazine, so when designing my magazine I
would definitely use buzz words and articles with interesting cover
lines as this is what appeals to my audience.

magazine and since I am doing a pop magazine called “JUICY” there would be
a lot of fashion icons which are pop stars as most pop stars set the fashion
trends so fashion would most definitely be advertised.

meaning there is a lot of competition as some people
are loyal to a specific magazine so I would need to
make my magazine very intriguing for my readers so I
can stand out from the crowd .

  • 1. Girls Boys Gender The gender of the people who took my questionnaire are as follows, however this will not make a big difference to my magazine. As you find most music magazines do not target one specific gender.
  • 2. 10-15 yrs 16-20yrs 21-25yrs 25+ yrs Age From my results, I can see that people aged from 16-20 years old took my questionnaire, which is good because I am apart of that age bracket so I would know what would be appealing to that specific age group. So my target audience would be 16- 20years old.
  • 3. Pop HipHop RnB Indie Preferred music genre When asking about the preferred music genre “Pop” was a popular choice. So I came to the conclusion that I would base my music magazine on Pop music as that was the preferred music genre when doing my research .
  • 4. Never Every week Every month Every so often How often do you buy a music magazine? By asking this question it helped me find out how often I should do an issue and since the majority of my responses said monthly I would most likely do a monthly magazine instead of weekly.
  • 5. £3.00 £4.00 £2.00 £6.00 £1.00 £5.00 How much would you buy a magazine for ? A popular price from my respondents was £3.00 suggesting that this was the amount many people are willing to pay for a music magazine, which made me come to the conclusion that the price of my magazine is going to be £3.00 as anything more expensive would not appeal to my audience especially as the age is 16-20 years old so their income wouldn't be that high.

The majority of my audience claimed that cover lines appealed to them when choosing a magazine, so when designing my magazine I would definitely use buzz words and articles with interesting cover lines as this is what appeals to my audience.

New editions Fashion Games Concerts Technology Most of my target audience would like to see fashion advertised in my magazine and since I am doing a pop magazine called “JUICY” there would be a lot of fashion icons which are pop stars as most pop stars set the fashion trends so fashion would most definitely be advertised.
  • 9. Do you currently buy music magazines ? Yes No The majority of people buy music magazines meaning there is a lot of competition as some people are loyal to a specific magazine so I would need to make my magazine very intriguing for my readers so I can stand out from the crowd .
