Audience Research
I have created a survey to find out what
the audience prefer to be in the magazine
and to get a better idea of what to include
in my magazine.
I asked the question what type of music do
you like so I could find out what type of
music the majority of the audience like so
that I could base my magazine on that
genre. Also I asked how often they buy
magazine so I know what type of topics to
include in my magazine and whether they
are weekly or monthly. I also asked what
would they like to read about in the
magazine so that I knew what to write
about on my 2 page spread whether it was
about concerts, festivals etc.
In my audience research I found out
that more females than males read
magazines. Also I found out that more
people aged16 to 20 read magazines,
so I am going to target my main
audience at females aged 16 to 20. I
also found out that people mostly like
pop than other music genres so I am
going to make my magazine a pop
magazine.
In my audience research I also
found out that people preferred
certain artists to other artists, so I
am going to use their names in
sell lines to attract my main
audience. Also I found out that
people mostly buy magazines
weekly so I have decided that I
am going to make my magazine a
weekly magazine.
In my audience research I also
found out that people would
prefer to pay £1.50 for a
magazine so I have decided
that this is the price I will make
my magazine. Also I found out
that people would rather read
about concerts so I am going
to base my double page
spread on a concert and as
people would like to read
about festivals and celebrities I
will use them as sell lines on
my magazine.
