This document provides information about a case study of a 15-year-old female patient (KK) admitted to the hospital with suspected inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). KK presented with abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and weight loss. Initial assessments found the patient to be malnourished with low electrolyte and albumin levels. She was started on total parenteral nutrition and recommendations were made for fluid and nutrient needs. Follow ups noted continued gastrointestinal issues and weight fluctuations while receiving TPN and remaining nil by mouth.
