  • Web quest sample MUSIC FOR YOUNG PEOPLE A GROUP OF STUDENTS IN YOUR COURSE HAVE A ROCK BAND AND PEOPLE SAY THEIR MUSIC IS COOL. HOWEVER, THEY ALSO SAY THAT MOST OF THE PEOPLE WHO GO TO THEIR CONCERTS LIKE TO CONSUME DRUGS OR DRINK THERE . YOU DONT LIKE TO DRINK OR GET DRUGS BUT YOU THINK IT WOULD BE NICE TO GO TO ONE OF THEIR CONCERTS TO KNOW WHAT IS REALLY COOL FROM THEM. THEY HEARD YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THEM AND THEY NICELY OFFER YOU A FREE TICKET TO GO TO THE CONCERT. QUESTION: WHAT WOULD YOU DO AFTER THE OFFER? WOULD YOU ACCEPT OR WOULD YOU REFUSE IT, WHY?
  • TASK
    • YOU ARE A MUSIC PRODUCER AND WANT TO CREATE A NEW BAND FOR ROCK MUSIC. YOU NEED TO FOLLOW TWO DIFFERENT STEPS TO SELECT THE APPROPRIATE GROUP AND ASSURE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO SELL THEIR MUSIC.
    • PROCESS
    • A. SURVEY : DESIGN AND APPLY A SURVEY FOR THE STUDENTS IN YOUR CLASS ASKING THEM WHAT THEY THINK IS GOOD IN A ROCK BAND.
    • B. RESEARCH : GO TO THE WEB AND FIND INFORMATION ON THE NEWS ABOUT SOME OF THE COMMENTS FANS MADE ON THEIR GROUPS AND FIND OUT SIMILARITIES WITH THE INFORMATION OF WHAT YOU COLLECTED IN THE CLASS. DRAW A CHART FOR COMPARING THE RESULTS.
    • ACTIVITY : INTERVIEW AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE AND ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT THE WAY THEY THINK PEOPLE SHOULD BEHAVE IN ROCK CONCERTS. WRITE A LIST OF GOOD POINTS AND BAD POINTS TAKEN THROUGH THE INTERVIEW.
    • MORE RESEARCH : GO TO THE WEB PAGES ON FAVORITE ROCK SINGERS AND FIND LAST NEWS ABOUT THE WAY PEOPLE ENJOY OR NOT THEIR CONCERTS. WRITE A SHORT REPORT ON THE INFORMATION YOU FOUND
  • REPORT : WRITE A PAPER WITH THE REPORT OF THE ACTIVITIES YO U HAVE MADE THE RESULTS YOU OBTAINED AND YOUR OPINIONS ABOUT IT. SEARCH ON INTERNET THE RULES TO PRESENT PAPERS ORAL PRESENTATION : PREPARE AN ORAL PRESENTATION TO SHARE THESE RESULTS WITH YOUR CLASSMATES.
    • PRODUCTS
    • The survey for your classmates
    • The results obtained from the first task
    • The organization of the information taken from the survey
    • A list of the web pages visited to collect the information in the task
    • The written summary of the information taken from those sources
    • The comparative chart you got as a result of the collection step
