The document describes the process of creating a contents page for a music magazine in QuarkXPress. The creator pasted text from Word and chose colors to match their scheme, making numbers red to stand out. Main contents like date and price were added using blue and red. Pictures were included to advertise articles and show page numbers so readers know where to find certain pieces. Additional pictures were added and the creator was happy with the final contents page.
2. I started with a blank page from
QuarkXPress and I started to create my
contents page.
3. I created the writing for my
contents page on a Word
document and than pasted it
over to my contents page. I
than chose the colours that
would match my colour
scheme and that would go
well with the other colours I
would pick. I decided to make
the font bigger for the
numbers and to make them
red so they stand out. The rest
of the writing I chose to be
black so it matches the rest of
my colour theme.
4. I added the main contents
page information including
the date of the release and
the price. I chose to use
the colours blue and red in
order to stand out against
the black bar I had decided
to add across the top.
5. I added my first picture
to this contents page.
The picture advertises
the article I had done
with the musician I
chose to interview. I
decided to include the
numbers of the pages in
which the articles
would appear for the
readers to know exactly
where to go for a
certain article.
6. I added a couple of more pictures
to match the articles listed in the
contents page.
7. I finally added my last
picture was happy with
how my contents page
turned out.
