1. I started off by creating a new A3 file on QuarkXpress.
2. I then inserted my chosen picture for my double page spread and positioned it
accordingly.
3. Then I used the text tool to add the page number and positioned it in the bottom right
corner.
4. I then used the text tool again to add the article headline and then positioned it in the
top left corner of the page.
5. Underneath, I added the stand first in a white font so it stands out over the black and
white background.
6. Then I used the text tool to add the byline and then positioned it below the stand first.
7. Using the shape to I created a banner for the insert to go over so that it stands out and
catches the readers eye.
8. I then used the text tool to add the insert quote over the banner.
9. Using the shape to I created a black background of the article to go over. I adjusted the
opacity to that the image can still be seen through the shape.
10. I then pasted the body, using the text tool, over the black rectangle.
