2. We used Quark express in order to help us create
our school magazine contents page. I first started off
with a blank page but added the word ‘Contents’ to
show the audience it is the contents page. I used the
colour purple as it matches with my colour scheme
for my school magazine and it would tie it all
together nicely.
3. When we researched about contents pages, we saw
on most that it would tell us the date of this issue.
This is why I decided to include the date of my issue to
show the audience which issue it will be. I used the
colour pink as I thought it tied in nicely with the
purple colour scheme. I used the same font that I has
used for the title of this page it show my theme
throughout the magazine.
4. Here I started to decide where my pictures and writing
will be placed on my magazine. I put in the sections for
each picture so I knew what kind of space I had for the
writing that I was going to include. For the writing I
used the same font as I had for the title to tie it all in
better. For the numbers I decided to make them a
bigger and different font so they would stand out easier.
I also changed the colour of them to purple so they
would also match well with my theme and tie the
contents page with the magazine front cover.
5. Here I had finished all of my writing for my contents
page and I used the same font and same style and
colour that I had previously used for the writing.
6. And finally I added all of the pictures that I
had planned to include. I decided to take
pictures relevant to my text as it would tie it
all together better and make more sense. I
also decided to include the picture I had
used on my front cover so my audience
would find it easier to find that article if they
were perticulary interested.
