• A bit happy I got organized several years ago
when technologies like Trello are out

• First and foremost you use Trello to efficiently
manage documents
• Anywhere in the world, I go I have my documents
on me
• Start to file your documents on a similar service
– Don’t organize your documents on email. It’s too
messy because you have to open up 10 emails to get
all documents

managed on Trello

Add Only Relevant People
• You’re the project engineer
• Just add people to wherever relevant. Nothing
more or nothing less
• Biggest mistake is to add too many people to
too may irrelevant boards
– You lose credibility

• Slack is the ultimate
• Never, ever use whatsapp or messenger
– Majority of people are blocked
• At the time of this recording, I have WhatsApp
because managing a Startup Muslim group
– Very soon it will be deleted

• All communication on those is very unproductive
– You will not have very productive conversations on
any instant messenger platform
– Productive means you eliminate future work
• In actuality, all messenger communications lead
to future work because you train people to get
used to taking your time

• The first reason, it’s a different environment
• Slack just feels like a business tool
• Doesn’t feel like a chat ourselves to death tool
– No nonsense gifs and fancy emojis

• It connects to Trello and email and almost all
other tools very easily
– So I can assign work to employees or staff and it
goes directly into their Trello
• Everything is managed amazingly

• You can be chatting for 15-20 minutes and

3rd Tool Zoom
• Another tool, if you know me, you know I use
it a lot
– I use zoom for all of my communications
– Why?
– Its just a link that you can send through Trello,
email, slack

Totally Worth It
• Just send your zoom link and not worry about
going back and forth with people about phone
numbers, email addresses, etc.
• Also, it helps get rid of stalkers
– Had a couple of skype stalkers in my day

• If a picture is worth a 1,000 words, what is
video?
– When delegating work, delegate it from your
screen and explain what you want to get
accomplished

• I just record a video for everyone to see and
witness
– Very little mistakes and very little ambiguity
• I with a view clicks I upload to YouTube
(unlisted) and staff has full clarity on what to
do

• Get zoom for easy communication
