• Marriage falling apart… no need to worry

• Stress is a warning sign that something is
wrong
• Embrace the stress and solve the issue

– Go find pleasure
– It confuses the subconscious mind into thinking all
is resolved

• Drunk people have no worries
– Why?
• They feel extremely good when they are drunk
• So when a problem occurs in their life, they get
drunk
• But getting drunk resolved nothing. Problems still
exists

• After stressful situations
– Why?
• We reach for our phones
• We go to the refrigerator
• We get on the internet
• We eat junk food
• Chatting with the opposite sex
• Funny thing is that my friends who posted the
most happy pictures on Facebook, got divorced

Short Term Pleasure
• Long term pain
– We never deal with the underlying problem
– Let alone actually build systems that completely
avoid it
– You make it worse. How?
– By getting dumber with movies, music, and junk
food

• Your mind knows you are in trouble
• That is why it pumps cortisol in your body

Embrace the Pain
• Stress is a warning sign
– It’s there for a reason
– For your own good
• Don’t look for pleasures to get rid of it
• Get rid of it by resolving the problem
• Resolve the problem, through systems, so they
don’t occur again
– But at the very least, resolve the problem

• That you can get addicted to pleasurable
things when you are stressed
– You just lived your life
• You are seeking pleasure
– It has been so automatic for years, you probably
don’t realize until now that

– Your level of success is directly based on this
concept
– You’re stressed, either:
• You run for distracting pleasures
• Or you quickly deal with the problem
