EXPERIENCE
 2014 July –Until present, Khatib & ALami company, Makkah, KSA; Assitant Architect -Jabal
Omar Development Project is a unique urban regeneration scheme aimed at providing first class
accommodation and supporting religious, social and commercial facilities and services for the
visitors and residents of the holy city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah. The development will significantly
enhance accommodation and other facilities for the ever-increasing number of pilgrims and
seasonal visitors to Al-Haram. The project consists of 5 phases for 38 hotel towers that will
operated by well-known international 5 & 4 stars hotel. such as Hilton, Double Tree, Sheraton and
Marriott.
Phase III consists of 5 stars hotel ( Hilton) of 44 floors & Double Tree, 4 stars Hotel of 33 floors
and 11 of which are podium floors, where 4 are commercial floors, 3 parking floors, 2 floors of
villas in addition to Ground and Mezzanine where the main entrances of the towers will be. The
estimated budget of Phase III is 3 billion SR and whole project 30 billion SR .
Duties include the following:
1. Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes
and international codes, Reply for ( RFI's) and coordinate with the Residential Engineer and
Assistant Chief Engineer.
2. Attend meeting with the ID representative to finalize all the requirement for the design
drawing and operator requirement.
3. Review the ( ITP's) and the method of statement for the finishes procees work in the site.
4. Attend to Inspection Requests (IR's mock up ) that submitted by the contractor and take
appropriate action in a timely manner.
5. Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved
drawing and specifications and report to immediate supervisor for appropriate action and
discharge instruction to the contractor

6. Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental
issues, ensuring the same complies with contracts / QCS specifications, safety and health risk
assessment and environmental mitigating measures respectively on a daily basis
7. Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are
readily available for inspection as and when required
8. Prepare Surveillance Report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site that are believed to have
failed or if the contractor is not complying with verbal instructions and subsequently
complete a Non Conformance Report (NCR) if required in view of the development of events
9. Check and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other
disciplines
10. Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that
may arise.
11. Monitor the contractor’s (ITP's) and quality plan(s) in regards to discipline related works
12. Ensure site progress information is communicated regularly
13. Coordinate the works to ensure successful hand-over of the project
14. Perform all other duties that may be requested by Resident & Assistant Chief Engineers.
