2. The front cover is very simplistic with
the band as a large picture which
covers the entire area, also in a black
and white effect. Then having their
name just bigger than the album title,
which will correspond to one of the
songs, allows to help people find that
band.
3. We firstly see one simple picture of
the band in a black and white effect.
Which is very effective and appealing
to the audience, importantly there are
lyrics to one of the songs which helps
the audience to understand the
purpose of the song more.
4. On the next page we see lyrics to four
shorter songs. The most important
part is the artwork which is not a
picture but almost a painting instead
which adds a different aspect or
something like this can be created on
photoshop but these symbols will
relate to the album in a way.
5. Again we see a photo of the band
which will cover the double spread
however this time with only one facing
the camera. Noticeably we can see
that the lyrics stand out as the photo
is black and white while the lyrics will
be a strong bright color like orange in
this case.
6. A common theme is the alternation
between real pictures and painting or
animation like pictures. This keeps
with the theme of punk rock by the
actual crazy and different look to
these images such as the man with
the mask which connotes that people
are being forced false things.
7. However for the last double page we
see that it is a mix between a real
picture and the animation but we
notice the theme of signs which in this
case is a warning sign for corrosive
which helps imply that the truth is
corroding away from everybody and
the lies are taking over.
8. All back covers follow the same style
with the list of tracks then any legal
documents needed however the track
list will always be more appealing
while the legal section will tend to be
harder to look at since audiences do
not care about this.
9. Conclusion
Overall there are many things I can take away from this pack such as the idea
of lyrics being a stand out aspect also the idea of one double spread being a
picture then another a animation type idea. However it’s to remember the
fundamentals like looking attractive to the audience to catch their eye and the
legal side of it as well to include publishers and licences.
