Narrative structure (storyline) It’s a very sketchy line but its basically following
in with the theme of the hole album, of his life,
this song is him in the back of a car and everyone
is making him be something that he doesn’t
want to do, and how he doesn’t want to end up
like his “palls” who just sit there and smoke
weed, he wants to do something with his life.
Desired audience response To be interested and want to watch other music
videos of the same artist. It should be something
that people can relate to. And just overall enjoy
watching.
Selling point Its most interesting part is mainly the song. So
people can go out and bye the song.
Iconography (props, costumes, location) All the costumes are stereotypical black
Americans. And the locations are the same this
video does like his use of stereotypes. And uses
them through out.
Cinematic style (camera use, lighting, editing
etc.)
The lighting is very good it is bright and vibrant.
But the main point in this video is that it is shot
in black and white, and there is no colour
anywhere. I think is this a very important thing,
as it shows in my eyes frustration, but
understanding. The editing is very slow and
follows the story line.
Editing (use of effects) There is no real post production effects, except
for the black and white.
Sound The sound is just the song, with a bit of dialog in
the middle.
