4. SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE.
It is used to say universal truth.
To refer something that happens
everyday.
In proverbs.
Ex, She is a singer.
He swims a lot.

5. SIMPLE PAST TENSE.
To refer an action that has already been completed.
To indicate something was done in past.
To express an action that has occurred over a period of time in past.
Ex, It snowed yesterday.
As a girl ,I exercised a lot.
I lived in Mumbai till age of 5.
6. Simple
future tense.
It is used only when we think or know for certain
will happen .
To make promise or to offer to do something.
Ex, Rohit will complete his homework.
I shall repair my bicycle tomorrow.

8. Present Continuous tense.
To describe an action which is going on.
For an action that has been going over a period of time.
Ex, He is swimming.
Rohit is learning to drive.
9. Past Continuous Tense.
To describe an action going on at a point of time or over a period of time in the
past.
To describe an action that was in progress when an other action took place.
Ex , I was working till late last night.
10. Future continuous tense.
• To denote an action that will be in processes at some point of time in
the future.
• To denote future events that are planned.
• Ex , The Cabinet will be announcing the annual budget

To indicate an action that has been completed just now or a little while ago.
To express an action whose time is not given and is not definite.

It is used to denote an action that took place before another action .
Ex, When I reached the bus stop , the bus had left.
14. Future Perfect Tense.
• It refers to the completion of an action by a certain time in future.
• Ex, The coach will have completed the assignment by next week.
