Why Remove Silt ?
Total Water Storage Capacity of Ghanewadi ( As Constructed )
14,440,000,000 Liters.
Jalna Municipal Corporation gets 4.0 mld water per day ( 4,000,000
Liters Per Day ).
In a Year JMC gets 365 x 4,000,000 = 1,460,000,000 Liter Water from
Ghanewadi.
Evaporation Losses + Seepage in Soil + Loss Due to Gal formation +
Theft = 14,440,000,000 - 1,460,000,000 = 12,980,000,000 liter. ( 89% )
We are using only 11 % of Ghanewadi Water.

20. Challenge This Year.
• Lifting by Farmers Poor.
• Reasons 1) Draught Situation 2) Expectation of
Subsidy
3) Work started early……… Still there is time.
• Best Opportunity this year to do Big Work. We
have three months in hand.
• We will need @ 60 to 80 Lac for three month.
• Small Farmers needs to be given support.
21. Future Of Project
We plan to continue the work till we recover lost
capacity totally.
It may take next 10 Years if we do not receive
support from Govt.
Unfortunately we failed to convince our leaders and
administration. We request dignitaries to help us in
this.
There are sign of “Change in Attitude of
Administration” and may be government will take
up this project in big way.
