We, Humans are amazing creatures with outstanding ability to dream. Bringing life into that dream
is an art which requires a unique tool. For me, the tool for adding life to my imaginations is
Software Skills. It is the most comfortable medium I could find in the course of my life to portray

The skill I am going to discuss is provisionalism. According to Interplay, the Process of
Interpersonal Communication provisionalism means "a supportive style of communication in which
a sender expresses open–mindness to others ideas and opinions" (G–9). Open–mindness as is
willingness to consider new ideas. I think provisionalism means to create a positive conversation
that will not turn off the other party and encourages an open mind.
Gibb notes in Interplay, the Process of Interpersonal Communication that "provisionalism surfaces
through words such as perhaps, maybe, might, possibly and may" (p331). In learning about this skill
I can improve my word choices to connect with people that I may have turned off by not using
provisionalism. In open mindness a person will listen to another opinion even though they have
already made up their mind. When using Provisionalism you create a more positive conversation by
avoiding statements of certainty. Both parties will usually be more apt to continue conversation and

The Approach Of The Software Artifact Summarization Paradigm
Our approach consists of following steps. First, we collected a corpus of code fragments, containing
127 code fragments, extracted directly from the Eclipse and NetBeans Official FAQs. Second, we
hired human annotators to suggest summary lines i.e., Gold Summary Lines (annotation). Third, we
introduced crowdsourcing (data–driven) as a problem solving model in software artifact
summarization paradigm, as it had not been employed before for software artifact summarization,
for extracting code features. Fourth, we trained two classifiers namely Support Vector Machines
(SVM) and Naive Bayes (NB) on code fragments. Next, we evaluated the effectiveness of these
classifiers on different statistical measures such as Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F–Score, True
Positive Rate (TPR), False Positive Rate (FPR), Receiver Operator Characteristic (ROC), and Area

I Am A Consultant For Nonprofits
I am a consultant for nonprofits, specifically for the arts. The company I am evaluating is The
Comedy Shop, which was founded by Zane Birnie. The Comedy Shop is up–and–coming and has
recently received their not–for–profit status. I will be emphasizing on The Comedy Shop's
fundraising portfolio that Birnie has constructed for presentation. The Comedy Shop is located in
Hoboken, New Jersey, which is strategically located 20 minutes outside New York City. Their focus
is providing reasonably priced comedy classes, modest comedy shows, and a supportive
environment for their students. The Comedy Shop's target age group is from teens to young adults.
To start with, I will briefly go over The Comedy Shop's vision, mission and goals, retaining to
fundraising. Their vision states: "It's our focus to create a non profit comedy club that is geared
towards being beneficial to comics through holding reasonable bringer shows, having moderately
priced classes for comics, and creating a supportive environment for comics to work–out new
material or strengthen their current sets." The aspects in The Comedy Shop vision are stated in their
goals as well. The word choices of "supportive," "strengthen" and "beneficial" would be considered
to have the strongest appeal. Though these words would have created a better impact in the mission
or goals for the company. Their vision does not create any sort of emotional response from me. It is
