DIGIPAK

2. Here I have chosen to analyse Ellie
Zambakides’s digipak as it is rather artistic
and interesting. I believe it outlines her own
music video in a very unique and eye
catching way. You can see that she took a lot
if attention to detail when creating this and
that really shows, something I want to obtain
when making my own.
I think it is great she included all of her initial
main aspects and themes from her music
video for her digipak, like the mask, the
locations and the clothes she is wearing.
I think the photography and editing she has
used makes it seem very professional and
realistic as if it were an actual CD for a music
video. The digipak furthermore evokes a
great deal of emotion and feelings from it
from the hands holding and how she is alone
in all of the shots is quite touching and mea-
-ning full and imaginative. I think the CD cover is great as it isn’t confusing with the picture it is interesting and not too in your face, by having a
picture of rocks it fills the CD well than a picture with a lot of negative space for example. I believe the front cover is the most effective part of
the digipak as that (other than the music on the CD) is what sells and what you see first. The font and the title really stands out and keeps in
with the theme of the digipak itself which is great she managed to do that. Overall when regarding Ellie’s digipak; the entirety of it looks very
impressive, from the font, the pictures, the colour scheme, every last detail looks especially interesting and effective. When looking at all of the
previous digipak’s students have done, Ellie’s one really stood out and I would argue it is a great example as when making one, you can see to
learn something from it and the ways in which she has put it together.
