2. This report covers a summary of my industrial experience as a graduate engineer. I
am a trained Engineer from the University of Port Harcourt where I acquired my
bachelor degree (B.Eng) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering)
I currently work with the Port-Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) where I have
served at different capacities such as Instrument Engineer, Workshop Planning and
Costing Engineer,Electrical and Instrumentation Workshop Engineer, Electrical
and Instrumentation Shift Engineer as well as Electrical and Instrumentation
Offsite Engineer.
In my capacity as Instrument Engineer, I was responsible for technical reviews on
instrumentation & control in OPHR & NPHR Rehabilitation projects, reviewed
job change order, participated in cost negotiation meetings and participated in
PHRC plant technical surveys.
my responsibilities as Workshop Planning and Costing Engineer includes
preparation and following-up daily scheduled maintenance activities in the process
plant/workshop, provided logistic support in the process plant/workshop and
sourcing for spare parts, Scheduled weekend/ holiday jobs, analyzed bids/follow-
up contract jobs, attended planning/other meetings as assigned, prepared memos
for Operations Executive Committee (OPEXCOM) and Management Executive
Committee (MEXCOM) as well as payment and job completion certificate,
Sourced materials from warehouse and prepared MRF for non available materials,
and Inspected procured material to meet specifications/standards
in this role(Electrical and Instrumentation Workshop Engineer ) , I Overhauled,
Calibrated and repaired Control valves/Transmitters/ controllers ;Checked,
commissioned and operateed instrument equipments,inspected and reassembled
valve manifolds/ pressure regulators/ensing elements /controllers;Overhauled
Electric Motors and Carried out Transformer oil test.
As an Electrical and Instrumentation Shift Engineer, iActively participated with the
instrument team in PHRC Phased Rehab Project for Fuels plant 1 Area
1,2&3,Successfully re-streamed Area 1 & 3 after the Rehab activities,Saved the
corporation a lot in cost working with the instrument team,Maintained proper
3. working conditions of all plant instrument (Transmitters, control valves etc),
diagnoseed faults and trends, recommended appropriate corrective actions ,
ensureed that Company and statutory safety requirements are adhered to in all
Maintenance activities undertaken by Company personnel and external
Contractors, developed a formal maintenance system for production facilities
Maintain close liaison with other discipline supervisors working in the area in
order to Coordinate all classes or work in the area Ensure that subcontractor
activities are carried out in accordance with the approved Subcontractor Quality
Plan Monitor daily progress within the area of assignment and keeps records of
quantities installed.Service & repair field instrument & attend to other field
jobsCarry out periodic maintenance of field instrumentsEnsure that instruments to
be calibrated are promptly delivered to the WorkshopFollow-up on all pending &
shutdown field instrument with the view to repairing themTake stock of the spare
parts needed for plant jobs Carry out isolation, connection & disconnection of
electric eqiupment/installation.Cover shift duty in the process units/log
activities.Carryout re-lamping activities in the process units.Carry out the

of emergency diesel generators.
When I emergedas the Electricaland Instrumentation Offsite Engineer,I
Carry out maintenance Jobs at the Jetty areas and Offsite areas as required,Carry
out PM on all offsite field instruments ,Carry out substation Operations.,Liase with
workshop for calibration of field instruments,Isolate faulty electric motors and
deploy then to the workshop
I was preveleged to work withoceanic BANK INTERNATIONAL plc as the
ZONAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS ADMIN. In this
function I initiated a discussion forum for the quick resolution of all bank wide IT
issues Excellent Customer Service
Userâs application and system support (Inhouuse and outsourced

hardware and software issues. Troubleshoot LAN network and cabling issues & IP

Responsibilities:Deployment of RAD radios and configuration & Networking
My experience has been mainly in theoil and gas, power sector
andtelecommincatin sectors. I have had challenges ranging from exposure to high
voltage, community harassment, working under the sun and these have been taken
care of by using the right Protective equipment, regular technical training and strict
adherence to professional standards and safety rules.
It is my prayer that my knowledge, Experience and skills as contained in this
report, satisfies the requirements to be admitted as an Engineer by the Council for
the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
