JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 Responsible for achieving safe operation and optimum Process Automation asset
utilization across all sites.
 Responsible for the monitoring of subcontractor works including issuance of instrument
materials during installation.
 Coordinate with the client representatives across engineering disciplines to present
any potential or actual problem areas across engineering disciplines as encountered
at the project site and work with the client and other engineering disciplines to find
alternative and corrective actions.
 Interprets piping & instrumentation flow diagram (P&ID).
 Responsible for plant reliability in relation to Instrument and control equipment including
the monitoring, preventive maintenance, installation and troubleshootimg of the onshore
refinery.
 Works under the direction of Maintenance Manager to plan & supervise all preventive
and corrective maintenance, monthly /annual outage and overhauling work activities on
plant Instrumentation and control equipment..
 Attending the daily and weekly progress review meeting with consultant, contactors,
subcontractor, General const Manager, Area Superintendent, Site Manager and Project
 Directors etc, update them with the current site status and reports.
 Knowledge of PID and PFD, Generation of Instrument data sheets for all field instruments
i.e., analyzers, DCS, PLC, Transmitters, flow elements, etc.
 Generation of Process control diagram, plant interlocks, Checking of total Honeywell
documentation for control systems. Generation of control system architecture etc.
 Checking of total instrumentation and controls for package equipment’s like turbines, air
compressors, and heavy machinery with respect to Honeywell products Shall be
responsible for the design of the total control system required for the plant, with
background knowledge of Honeywell DCS & PLC which involves checking requirement of
total I/O count (checking with respect to plant, electrical interface, total requirement
operator stations, engineering station, communication protocols etc.
 Evaluation of Honeywell offers for field instrumentation as well as control systems. For
control system it involves checking of total cards required for the plant (based on the no
of channels per card, specifications for operator as well as engineering stations, design of

cabinets, total software required for the control systems.
 Implementing total control systems.( Honeywell PLC & DCS) This involves start up of DCS
on site, carrying out S.A.T (site acceptance test) in co-ordination with the control system
engineer as well as the commissioning engineer
Nature of work involves second level checking for all the assigned instrumentation
projects related to Honeywell products.
 Planning & Co-ordination for Project Activities, like removal and Installation of all
instrument mainly from boiler and furnace area.
