6. In 2001, a big fire at the plant, destroyed the «Converting unit» and burned all the building
completely. All manufacturing equipments burned including the high voltage feeding units
like transformers, XLPE High Voltage cables and associated distribution boards.
7. As an electrical engineer, I was the main contact
communicating and managing the Contractor
which was responsible for re-building the High
and Low Voltage power systems of the new
converting unit.
8. After the construction of the new
building and energy
systems, installation of production
equipment started.
A technical site visit was arranged to
Italy to meet the team behind the
manufacturing of the Converter
unit.
Our team was trained on how to
install and operate this complex
device. I was responsible for
installation and commissioning of
this Converter unit back in Turkey.
The two burned ‘Z-fold’ Tissue
machines’ were recovered and
rebuilt by our team.
9. After the implementation stage, my duties included:
• All PLC programming and revision updates
• Solving All PLC faults
• Fixing sudden unexpected system failures,
finding the root cause and developing
solutions develop solutions for future error
prevention and reduction
• Training the technician on duty about the
error that occurred and ensure he/she is
understand the malfunction and the
resolution
• Adding and building new networks to
Automation systems
• Writing new PLC programs from scratch
related to minor projects

11. • Participating to the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) meetings of all
projects and following the FMEA items.
• Designing the manufacturing equipments according to agreed FMEAs.
• Getting in touch with the related global or local technical suppliers. Briefing the
technical details and needs to the supplier.
• Performing technical audit and controls during the equipment installation
process
• Participating to the functional tests and verifications of the technical equipment
before taking in to manufacturing area.
• Controlling the Project budget.
12. • Monitoring the process, analysing the output, reporting performance
at weekly progress meetings
• Improving operational performance of the manufacturing systems
by pareto analysis and FMEAs .
• Designing new concepts for all equipment to improve quality
• Providing support on HV systems.
• Maintaining the production line at all stages
• Troubleshooting all technical issues
