2. Assistive Technology is considered to be any device or service
that aids students with learning disabilities meet their
Individualized education plan and participate in the general
education setting as best as possible , it also includes the
location, implementations and the selection of these services or
devices.

3. The (IDEA) Individuals with disabilities education act of 1973
created the legal requirements for students with disabilities.
Public schools are required to offer assistive technology to
students with disabilities to assure they receive a free public
education (FAPE) regardless of the severity of their disability.
The Least restrictive environment (LEA) provided as a part of IDEA
requires students with disabilities to be educated with students
without disabilities. LEA requires public schools to provide assistive
devices or services.

their intended educational goals no matter what their individual

and have a camera in each lens. The glasses highlight
objects that could be obstacles. Users need some vision to
use these glasses.
SEEING IMPAIRED
7. Word processors are a valuable tool for students who have
a learning disability in handwriting. It can be very helpful for
students who have trouble writing by hand. Word processors
are lightweight and can be transported from class to class.
LEARNING DISABLED
8. Assistive computer technology helps bridge the gap in
communication and accessibility.
These tools help students communicate, access resources, and
perform academic tasks independently.
